Vandersteen Treo CT or Proac D48R I own the ProAc D48R and love them - especially after listening to the placement suggestion from JohnnyR. He knows these speakers as if he built them. His placement suggestion made the speakers sound incredibly wide, tall and musical. You should l...
TIDAL on SALE! I have decided to permanently switch to Spotify once they offer the hifi tier. They have better selection and recommendation than Tidal. Tidal is useless for me without the connect. The connect is "coming soon", per their support. The user experie...
Class D amps that are superior to all or most? Good for you Ralph, you need a different income stream direction now, with tubes waning. Says a bloke who is trying to do the same :-)
Favorite cable brand. I have graduated to Inakustik brand and I do not see them going anywhere anytime soon. If anything I would add more or upgrade to higher models. These cables are simply that good.
Pass Labs XA25 + Backert Labs Rhumba 1.3 - A Good Combination? @jay73,Thank you for the kind words. If you listen at moderate volumes, then you will have a great combination with these 2. And the good thing is that both the components are made locally.
Pass Labs XA25 + Backert Labs Rhumba 1.3 - A Good Combination? I do not know about this specific combination. But I do have the Rhumba 1.3 with the Parasound A21 amp. I love this combination and how wonderful it makes music.Your ML is above average sensitive, so my "guess" is that the combination you are look...
My Terrible Emotiva Experience @himerope,I agree, that is not a good experience. But here are some points on your post:1. Your first one on audiogon and it is a "complaint"2. You got the money back but you took the pain to register and complain3. You tried to save $30-$40 and go...
Speaker Cables I use a pair of Inakustik LS-2404 biwires with my ProAc D48R and love the results.
All New ROTEL MICHI GEAR // State-Of-The-Art You are so obsessed with Rotel! Or are you a dealer?
R to r dacs I think the Rockna Wavelight is also a R2R DAC. Did you consider that?
Cable Elevators Anyone has experience with AQ Fog lifters. I want some aesthetics :-) Don't intend to spend $$$$. The current handmade wood lifts look slightly out of place now.
How loud are you typically listening? @tcutter,Very good point.Anywhere from 70-82db at 9 feet away from speaker. For me this depends on the quality of the music and recording itself.
Kef Blades (1), being auditioned...please share your experience. Wrong combination of electronics, cable and room can make any speaker sound bad. I have heard the Blade1 and Blade 2 on multiple occasions and they sounded wonderful.
Where does it end? Last month I spent $4,300 on a pair of *used* speaker cables. You just got started...why do you want it to end? :-)
Audio Companies with Integrity?? +1 for Andy at Backert Labs.Richard Schram from Parasound always responds to your questions and concerns.I don’t trust Ralph at Atma-Sphere anymore. He converted me from using solid state equipment into a tubed equipment that I am thoroughly enjoy... |
