How I'd spend money given no limits
Becoming instant 1%ers changes most people Erik. You post like it doesn’t.It should be:How I’d spend... If my values don’t change. Not likely. But you did get a lot of responses:"What I would buy if I had (suddenly) no spending restraints (instant ...
Multi Meter Tweak
No!, I've set a DMM on my Dac 100 time, at least. On, off, and every other setting, with and without leads. Made no difference. I have a pretty one, so it's special. I just turn the DAC off and my DMM takes over. Truly magic. AM, FM, Streams...

I have a whole box of OC703 sitting in my shop making it real easy to show just how effective and simple this stuff is to work with. I also have things like Synergistic Research HFT that are almost invisible yet incredibly effective. There’s a You...
Desktop Subs
These ten inch subs should do nicely. https://www.tektondesign.com/4-10-sub.html
high end speakers are overpriced
Speakers are hard to get home for audition. One of the few I was able to get in there was some very highly regarded Vandersteens. Which is redundant, since it seems pretty much all of them are highly regarded. Which certainly was not my experience...
Multi Meter Tweak
Wax on wax off?
Easily the best and most significant sonic tweak one could ever make!
For what a lot of these custom hearing aids cost you could but two microphones, amp and EQ, and some nice headphones, like HD600 or better. Then some in-ear phones for social situations where you don't want to be the one wearing cans.
How does Impedance affect my Mo-Fi StudioPhono?
That’s not quite right. Impedance changes do not cut out or add. (Well, unless you over-do it.) What it does, electrically, the signal goes down the wire from a source (the cartridge) to the other end (phono stage), where there is an impedance or ...

yes but why consent to being swindled? you are complicit if you turn a blind eye and encourage this activity. It will not stop unless we all boycott them Just who exactly is being swindled? And who exactly must we all boycott? Exactly, as Walter W...
The Future of Speakers?
That's not what it does. Not at all. Try reading the link you posted. What it does is use ultrasonic waves to cause the air to vibrate producing sound. In order to work it has to track your ears as you move around. So imagine the calculations- run...
Take that to good will

Enough! Ship your best speakers here kenjit. Keith and Deborah can drive down and hear them. Mike and the half a dozen from Portland can come up and have a listen. Heck even Mike Lavigne can join us. Why not, you've been dissing everything under t...
“Classic” phono stages 2007-20013?
My first "real" (stand alone) phono stage was the ARC PH3SE bought in I think 1992 or 3. Back then I was big on home audition. Refused to buy anything not first heard at home. Did not want to spend big money so started with stuff like the Lehman B...

patrickdowns, You owe it to yourself to take the ferry (or the drive around) to come and hear for yourself. Not only to hear how crazy good Moabs are, but to see and hear for yourself the many excellent tweaks. Including some I'm obliged to keep u...
Upgrade time?
The sound quality you want is so easily attainable once you ditch the surround processor. Multichannel is like an anchor dragging you down. You know it. I know you know it. "Just designed to sell more gear." Red pill reality, blue pill multichanne...
