Power Cord Review
This review sounds like it will take many months to complete. To be fair to all the manufactures, taking into account all the variables, equipment used, quality of incomeing AC and sometimes the lenght of breakin time required for the PC to stut i...

Star Grounding
Some years back a manufacturer named Audio Control (well known for their EQ's and Crossovers, mainly for car audio) offered a White Paper on the subject of "Star Grounding" to anyone who requested a copy. Don't know their URL but maybe the company...
Star Grounding
Gladstone i feel its best for someone with more knowledge to answer your questions. I beleive this is against all code enforcement. I've seen star grounding the components (as oppossed to "Floating the Ground") but not the AC outlets.
Star Grounding
Forgot to mention that its important not to have any of the grounds cross over one another. Picture the center of a star as the grounding point and the points of the star as the ground leads. Thus "Star Grounding". I'm sure you can take it from he...
Star Grounding
"Star Grounding" is common and the only way to fly for a noise free mobil audio installation. Star grounding means grounding all components to a central ground as the others have mentioned. But for best results all lenghts of ground wire SHOULD BE...
Acoustic Zen, Pure Silver Sound, and Ana
Given the description of sound you describe from your components the pure silver sound Quartet (140 for 1m) SE RCA IC will cost you many times the price to beat this excellent sounding unshielded silver IC with silver plated locking RCA connectors...
Power Cords for Subs, any benefit?
Have experienced results as stated by Bigboss using the Eels on a pair of Rel Stadiums. I believe the reasonably priced BMI Whale will perform very well with the very good Aerial Sub. The Eels made the very good Rel Stadiums even better.
help with DAC w/current system
With all respects for Audioguy3107 and his suggestion of the MSB Link Dac 111. The Link Dac 111 will not hold a candle to the sound quality of the (20 Bit non upgradable) Classe Dac 1. If you can get a good deal on the Classe Dac 1 by all means go...
Tuner Vs. 4DTV music channels
Don't know, does the Lens demodulate the incoming data, bring the data back to 1 and 0, regenerate and reclock the data, clean up the signal, take 83% of jitter out of the Toslink, 50% from the RCA Coax (the Theta TLC actually adds jitter to the R...
Future proof DVDA/DVD/CD/CDR player.
What was future proof 10yrs ago? 5yrs ago? 2yrs ago? The future is NEVER future proof. Nothing is future proof. Not even oursleves!!!
How big is too big?
For a rear projection tv the ideal seating distance would be 5x the viewable screen height. For example if you own a 50in RPTV and the viewable screen height is 30in, than your ideal seating distance would be 5x30 or 150in or 12ft - 6in. After thi...
