This is typical of severe cases. They look like they are getting better then go spiraling down. I just lost a patient this way. Everybody wants "natural." Well I've got news for everyone. Nature is cruel. If you are not the fittest see you later.
What was wrong with the P-mount ?
Eric, the only real hassle with turntables is you have to get up every 20 minutes to flip sides. Set up is a once every 10 year thing when you change cartridges. If you take care of your records correctly, only by new ones, use a dust cover and a ...

Turntable Mats: Rubber, Felt or Cork.
Sorry for the delay slaw. Ideally you want the record pinned to the mat over it's entire surface. Vacuum is the best but complicated. Next is the reflex clamp which I believe was first used by Walker. SME and Kuzma have followed suit. Having a SOT...
The shams, scams and dead ends of the High Fidelity hobbie/passion/adiction
JVC was smart and gave the technology away to a bunch of companies. VHS saturated the market so fast Beta never had a chance. Sometimes you have to ask less to make more. At the time I was a poor medical student and all my moonlighting money went ...
Question about Tone Controls + Equalizers
Spininvinyl, I agree. When it comes to analog simple is always best and for decade I did exactly what you are doing. Then digital came along, a totally different animal. Now instead of modifying an analog signal you are just changing numbers. Numb...
Reasonable moving coil cartridge
Chakster is right again. You are better off with a MM cartridge at this price point. To get a decent MC cartridge you have to spend upwards of $1000IMHO Grado rules at the price you are looking at.
Turntable Mats: Rubber, Felt or Cork.
No you will not. Using a reflex clamp like the Michell should make a difference.

Yes, the quality of the diamond is important as is the condition of your records and how you play them. I have never worn out a stylus and I have a medical microscope to keep an eye on them. I have 4 cartridges now and I do give one away occasiona...
A must watch YouTube video on stylus in the groove!!!
Ledermann is just selling his stuff and distorting reality to do so. Like any good salesman he has made it look.....compassionate. I love how he takes the biggest old antique moving coil assembly to compare with his moving iron. A modern one is si...
I Need Some Opinions...
dmac, I am not familiar with the Goldring but I can highly recommend the Lyra Delos which should work marvelously in your table. Millercarbon tends to bury himself in complexity. I prefer simplicity. Most of us have to approach this hobby in a ste...
Question about Tone Controls + Equalizers
It seems most here use tone controls to correct deficiencies in specific recordings which is great. There is also the realization that a lot of trouble occurs at the 3-4 kHz region and a slider here would be very useful. Cutting here just 3 db can...
How to upgrade "power cord" on turntable with wall wart?
Waste of time. Buy more music.
How I spent my time at home
Nice picture, great pose. Got a soldering iron? Replace any wire with silver wire and get rid of unnecessary switches and fuses. I hate fuses.
How will the COVID-19 pandemic affect sites like Audiogon?
1+ wturkey. In the end this virus will not affect the trajectory of this planet 1 mm and in a year will be nothing more than a foot note. Nobody wants to take the risk that somebody might get sick under their watch. So, we'll just shut everything ...
