What record cleaner is the most bang for the buck??
Humminguru. $500. Ultrasonic cleaning. Don’t listen to the disparagers about the lower frequency that it runs. Run it twice to clean your record if you need too.    Bent

What's your experience with snooty HiFi salesmen?
+1 @larry5729  same company in Boulder same behavior. I buy cables from them sometimes if the price is right, I think you’re being very generous by saying they make you uncomfortable. I ordered my cables over the phone, walk in and pay for them ...
Is soundstage DEPTH a myth?
I was listening to Helene Grimaud. The album is Duo. It’s just Grimaud on piano and del Sol on cello. The piano sounded like it was up on the stage at a concert hall. I’m sitting in the front row and del Sol is seated right in front of me just to ...
Female XLR to RCA?
Sure, you can wire it that way. But note that rca has 2 terminals and that XLR has 3 terminals. XLR/XLR has three wires, rca/rca, has 2 wires. The 3rd wire/terminal, becomes obsolete and is shorted out. Q: are you making your own cable? This wirin...

Home audio or pro audio?
I’m a wanna be musician. I own Focal Solo 6BE monitors and did have a Focal Sub6. They are VERY bright in addition to not having much detail. As I recall, if you fell on the impedance curve you would die from stab wounds. They do not sound at all ...
Seriously though, maybe the best tweak is exercise?
My take away is bug spray. It’s 25° where I live.  At 8200 feet there’s no air up here either. If you exercise you’ll fall over.   Bent
what are your top "audio bargins" in your system history?
Not in the tires. Spellcheck is really going crazy today. I meant “advertised”. bent .
what are your top "audio bargins" in your system history?
Grace F9e, purchased new in 1984 for $158. I’m using it right now while my Soundsmith, The Voice, is getting retipped. The F9e is still amazing me after 39 years. You can buy one on eBay right now $500 from Japan. I’ve seen in the tires $1200 and ...
Lyra and OMA
I’m still here and I’m still listening. Thanks Jonathan.
Subwoofer Choice
@bound4h  I also have in SVS SB3000. I like that you can alter the impedance curve from your listening chair with an iPhone. I’ve got it to my preference!   ml
