$2000 speaker help
Do you know what amp you will power them with yet or have any in mind? As you probably know some speakers need more power than others. So it would help to know the amp to give you any meaningful suggestions on speakers. The Vandersteen's 2e that M...
Rega Brio-R Break-in time.
Sorry, I noticed I never responded back on this thread. I actually sold the Brio-R after about 5 weeks of use. I liked almost everything it did. But in my system at least, it was still a little too bright for me if I am honest. Maybe I needed a lo...
Are all Linn products made in Scotland?
Thanks for getting involved Tpreaves and not contributing. Everything is fine in my life. I just wanted to have a normal discussion about the question I posted. Is it really too much to ask?
Are all Linn products made in Scotland?
@ Wof_garcia if you think your initial comment of, "I love my Japanese akito" is a proper response to my initial question, then I guess you and I have a completely different outlook on how someone should answer a simple question. I am new to Linn ...
Almarro a318B and Audio Note ANe Speakers
Hi, I used to own the 318A version. It differs from the 318B in that it has zero feedback. Both are rated at 18 watts and it drove my Proac Signature 2000's just fine. They are rated at 8 ohms and only 87db. So I would think you would not have any...

Hello everyone,To anyone this might be of interest to I wrote an email to Linn and asked them directly. They told me that all of their products are still being manufactured in Glasgow Scottland. That's nice to know! Thanks again to Polk432. The onl...
Are all Linn products made in Scotland?
Wolf_Garcia and Cathode You two are very poor examples of what a member should be like on Audiogon. Please leave this forum and never do any business with me ever! My question was very simple and straight forward. Only you two have turned this int...
Are all Linn products made in Scotland?
I want to thank Polk432But as for the rest of you is there any reason you can not give me a normal answer? Please do not respond to this question if you have a hard time acting like a proper adult! This forum is for mature Audiophiles and not chil...
Are all Linn products made in Scotland?
A quick search shows that Peerless drivers are made in India. I wonder where the 140's cabinets and crossovers are made, and where it assembled in? China? Linn makes it sound like they are this this cool hi-fi company from Scotland designing and m...
Are all Linn products made in Scotland?
I am sure there are a few parts here and there that are sourced form other places but does anyone here know if the bulk of their electronics and speakers are manufactured and assembled in Scotland or not? I am just curious. Thanks
Joseph Audio RM7XL
Hi Bob,I have no doubt that the Salks are great speakers. Probably even better than the Joseph RM7XL's are. But there are two things that I do like about the Joseph RM7XL over the Salk HT1-TL's. The first is that they are easier to drive. I like t...

Hi Bob, I looked on Salks page. It is listed that the full veneer cost an extra $300. If you want the plinth in matching veneer it cost extra too. They do look interesting though. Would be nice to try them out but I would want the full veneer. I g...
Rega Brio R bright???
You really need to start looking into tube amps. Trust me I have had the same issues you just said. I changed over to tubes a few years ago and it is really hard to go back to solid state after that. I am confident you will like the warm musicalit...
Smallish floorstander that sounds good placed just
I second the Rega RS3 or RS5 speakers. Great floor standers. They have a front facing port on the bottom. That makes them more easy to place near a wall. They are also easy enough to drive with your Nova.

Thanks guys! The Salk may be good but it is $3200. I also don't like the black front plastic around the drivers. If I ordered a pair in full veneer not only would it cost even more I also would not be able to return them to Salk then because its a ...
