Anyone have anything to share? ;)
Songs Faber Olympica I vs Dynaudio Contour 20 - My Review
I just compared the two speakers today. The amp was the new Mcintosh MA252 Hybrid integrated. An older top of the line Arcam CD player (good enough) and Nordost cables. It was a very close call. I liked both of them. The Dynaudio seemed to go a li...
Pathos Classic One MK3 versus McIntosh MA 252?
Thanks dill.I have heard both of them before but it was months apart and with different speakers. From my recollection the Pathos might be a little warmer sounding, a little more tube like. The power figures aren't too far about apart. 130 vs. 150...
Any love for the Belles Aria or other recent Belles amplifier?

Any love for the Belles Aria or other recent Belles amplifier?
Leahy, please keep us up to date on your findings. I too am thinking about buying and trying out the Aria. I have a Sugden A21 now but would like to have more power so I can try out a variety of different speakers. I have a hunch the Aria might pa...
Help with a system for a guy into electronic music
So you are going to spend $3000 on pair of Dynaudio 160's and $3850 X 2 on a pair of JL Audio F113 subs for a total of $10,700 dollars? Not saying that is a bad decision, might actually work really well, but I am just thinking of all the stand alo...
B&W PM1
@Mkash3, My guess is that with a 6.5 inch woofer the PM1's would need a slightly bigger cabinet and sound quality wise they would have been getting a little too close to B&W's 805 model for half the price.
B&W PM1
@Photonman :) You are right with what you said.
Is the V.P.I. Traveler made in China
@Buconero117,Why would you spout off about the VPI having 95% of it's parts made in China without backing those statistics up? Do you have proof of this? If not then keep quiet as you do a disservice to VPI and the audiophile community.
Soundsmith Carmen vs. Dynavector 20x2H
Macster,What are your thoughts on the Carmen and 10X5 compared?
Soundsmith Carmen vs. Dynavector 20x2H
Thanks Bifwayne! How do you like the Zephyr compared to the 20X2 H? I am looking for a smooth sound and not too bright. The table I want to get is a VPI Traveler so that's why I was aiming for the Carmen. It's a good match price wise. I did hear th...
Soundsmith Carmen vs. Dynavector 20x2H
Anyone compare these two or have one or listened to one? Thanks.
VPI Traveler v1 vs v2 comparison
@ Sbrownnw,That is true I also noticed this. Not sure it is the belt (typical belt squeak) I think it might just be the pulley mechanism or the motor. It was a bit of an odd sound. But it only lasted about 3 seconds upon initial start up and then ...
Want to try vinyl - What equipment do I need?
You need a Gramophone, some 78's and a strong arm to crank :)
VPI Traveler v1 vs v2 comparison
Below is VPI's response from my email asking them a few questions about some changes made to the version 2 Traveler.1- The arm was changed to incorporate longer pins on the bearings so when the arm froze in UPS it would not come apart. They do not...
