SF Concertino vs Dynaudio Focus 140 vs VA Haydn
I have heard all of them but at different times and with different systems. They all work with tubes but need lots of power. Dynaudio's are not boring. They sound best with solid state I think. Open sound with good bass. The Sonus Fabers sound gre...
Rega Brio-R Break-in time.
I will give it 200 hours like you suggested. I love the Brio otherwise, but if that brightness does not change it might be a deal breaker for me. Everyone hears different. Maybe I am just sensitive to that brightness more than others? I re-connect...
solid state vs tubes--with a twist
cont.. Many of these companies have gone under and the ones that are still around have also become much brighter sounding to my ears like the newer Creek amps. I heard the "Heed" from the country of Hungary sounds sounds warmish. Maybe the Audio A...
solid state vs tubes--with a twist
If you go back about 10 years or more I would say yes. But now it seems like the trend is to get more resolution and detail-everything just seems to be getting brighter. To me this is a negative. For tube like sound I think the CJ solid state amps...
Rega Elicit Break-In
Having the same issues with my new Rega Brio R. 4 days old now and about 50 hours on it. I am really hoping the bright and hard upper midrange and lower treble become more round and warm soon. I will give it 200 hours. If it does not change I will...
Rega Brio-R Break-in time.
I am using Proac Signature 2000's and a Cambridge Audio 840c CD player with Audioquest cables. None of these components are what I would consider to be bright sounding. They are transparent and if anything a bit on the warm side.

Realhifi, Since you sell both the Rega Brio R and the Naim Nait 5i-2 could you please tell us all your impressions. I am sure they are both great amps but I would really like to know your thoughts of how the sound compares and contrasts to each ot...
JM Reynaud Twin Signatures vs. Bliss/Silver
Thank you everyone for your comments and help.
Vienna Acoustics vs ERA
Go for the Vienna Acoustics. The cabinet work alone is worth it. They are actually made in Vienna a place that knows a thing are two about how music should sound. Anyway, ERA speakers are made in China. Buy products that are made in places that su...
Castle speakers IAG
I really do like the sound of the of the Castle Warwick's and the fit and finish are amazing. I am only disappointed with IAG customer service and the fact the Warwick's do not come with 5-way posts. I know many of the other Castle speakers do hav...
Castle speakers IAG
Hello,Just a quick update. I have the Castle Warwick 3's up and running now in my main system as of last night. I had to buy new cables that have spade connectors as the speakers themselves only use bare wire and spades. They are not banana end co...
Castle speakers IAG
I just bought a pair of Castle Warwick 3's. So far I have a very bad image of this IAG group! I can not use my speakers because the binding posts are not 5 way ones! They only accept bare wire and spades! I use bananas so I am out of luck until I ...

SS Amp Preference for DeVore Fidelity Silverbacks
I have heard from others that Sonneteer is a good match with Devores. I also hear Naim is as well.
