Follow-up to my alien aduction-like anecdote.
Thanks Tvad.Hey, wait a minute here....Do you suppose that Albert Porter's Porter Ports are really Porter Ports PORTALS for use by aliens in telePORTation? My Odyessey Extreme monoblocks were BOTH plugged into his Ports when I had the "experience....

Tvad,Do I want to know what NOS means?

Tvad, I'd heard that people were just dying to get into that black Nike sneaker club! Where'd you find the extra pairs, by the way?
Review: Harmonic Precision Caravelle Speaker
I have heard that, in ESSENCE, these are really SUPER loudspeakers, just GEMS.
Avalon Eidolon has marks on midrange speaker
Why not contact the company with that question? You could ask whether this would "color" the midrange, or whether the speakers would instead be expected to pass muster with flying "colors". :)
Upgrading - Pls Suggest Speakers to Review
Of course, the upper echelon Kharmas are a must listen in that price range as well.
Upgrading - Pls Suggest Speakers to Review
In that price range you may want to consider the Intuitive Design Denali's at $65K. I own the Intuitive Design Summits, and they are phenomenal. My room is a little smaller, but not that much. The Summits have very good bass, but do roll off aroun...
Floorstanders: 1k used-Psb,Audes,etc....
PSB Stratus Gold is strong consideration. You may want to check out the person with the handle, "Ngellner", who bought a pair after posting a thread called, "A Pleasing Start."
Help me with this choice Paradigm, JM Lab, Sonus
I think that another contender that's being completely left out of the discussion is the Totem line in general, and in particular the Tabu, which originally retailed for 3000, but often can be seen a lot cheaper on A'gon used. This speaker images ...
Review: Intuitive Design/Pitcher Sound Labs Summit PSL 624 Speaker
Hello Powder,It's ironic that you should mention the Super Gems, the Summits, and the Caravelles. One of the threads about the Caravelles on this site is called, "Outstanding Speakers, Outstanding" or something like that. After listening to the Su...
Merlin speakers a new start for me
Very few people, even on this site, seem to be aware of the Intuitive Design Summit loudspeakers. I don't sell them and have no vested interest in the company. In an attempt to get the word out on these, I have posted a very, very detailed review,...
Speaker upgrade help needed: 4500$ used
Geoffgarcia:AP Virgos are a great speaker, from what I've heard. Congratulations on being satisfied with your choice! Have fun listening.
Lived up to or beyond the hype for 2005.
No hype at all because these are "underground" even within the "underground" high end audiophile/lunatic fringe community, but anyway, it's the Intuitive Design Summit PSL 624 loudspeakers. I've reviewed them here on A'gon. That review reads like ...
what is the best deal you ever got on audiogon
Probably the Dodson 217 Mark II D DAC with upgraded 218-like software. Odyssey Stratos Extreme monoblocks were also great, but less of a discount from their original price than the Dodson.
Can a monitor sound like a floorstander??
As I tried to point out earlier, the Summits have, in my room at least, a dynamic range very similar to that of the prior speaker I owned, the Paradigm Studio 100 V3. I think the bass is actually BETTER on the Summits. When I first listened to the...
