Amp recommendation for Paradigm Studio 100 v3? Miguelito:You may want to look at my Audiogon review of the Intuitive Design Summits. These speakers are utterly phenomenal beyond all possible belief. These sound better than I thought loudspeakers ever could. They're just unreal. Here's a link t...
Amp recommendation for Paradigm Studio 100 v3? I've been thru the exact same thing with the exact same speaker. Dakiom Feedback Stabilizers helped, but did not completely solve the problem. Intuitive Design Summits ended up replacing them. I've reviewed the Summits on Audiogon.
Power Quality Information Resource Kenyonbm,Thanks. I put both into my Favorites list.-Bill
help me spend money-which high end speakers? In that price range, Denalis by Intuitive Design are a must listen, in my opinion. I'd call Dale Pitcher at 307-532-2626.
Guidance for speaker upgrade If you're truly satisfied with everything about the sound of your system except for the bass, then I'd strongly consider keeping the speakers and spending as much as necessary (up to the budget level, of course) on a truly high end subwoofer, but ...
Tips for warming up Rotel + B&W system? I still say you may want to give the Dakiom Feedback Stabilizers a shot. You can return them if they don't work. If you decide that you want to improve your digital front end, then perhaps it would be reasonable to consider a high end dac.
Tips for warming up Rotel + B&W system? I've never tried it, but what about a tube buffer, like the one made by Musical Fidelity?I'd suggest giving Dakiom Feedback Stabilizers a shot as well, understanding that they can be returned and Dakiom will even pay shipping. Dakiom claims that "...

Guidance for speaker upgrade Pjboud,Do you have a ballpark figure for your speaker budget (including any subwoofer)?
does a stereo system sound like live music ? The other thing you miss when listening to recorded symphony music is the sound of old geezers opening up their cellophane wrapped cough drops during quiet passages in the piece. Always a treat: Crinkle......crinkle....cough, cough, cough, chair s...
I think it is time to retire Sometimes they don't retire, they just die (drug overdose, alcoholism, anorexia, small private airplane crash, heart attack, complications of sexually transmitted diseases, etc). Then nobody wins. "Dead men tell no tales," and it could be added: "...
Guidance for speaker upgrade There's no reason at all that a floorstander couldn't be used with a subwoofer IF the subwoofer is well integrated and IF the subwoofer is restricted to reproducing the lowest frequencies (by setting the crossover low enough). In my opinion only t...
certin speaker makers harder to get dissounts fro Fiddler,1) Given the large number of legal precedents, why is this not common knowlege? 2) Why is it that enforcement of this law (or statute, or rule, or regulation or order, or whatever it's called) is seemingly done on a complaint-driven basis?...
Do you know of small speakers that sound ''BIG'' ? Jtgofish:The answer to your first question is "no."As for speed, these things are LIGHTNING fast. When I said they have the most incredible combination of high end detail and smoothness (both) that I'd ever heard in ANY loudspeaker irrespective of...
Guidance for speaker upgrade Might want to add a high quality subwoofer. I own a Rel Storm 3, augmenting Intuitive Design Summits. Those already go so low that the crossover on the Rel is set at 27 hertz. |
