Thumbs up for ultrasonic record cleaning
I’ll pull the rollers and try to reinstall but I don’t think that’s it. Also, for water level it gets very close to perfect. Do you all just add a little more water to make the water level go higher?

I’m about 30 records into using the Audio Desk and it really does an amazing job. My only problem is that (1) the rollers on one side seem to struggle a little bit and don’t fully contact the record all the way up, which sometimes leave a strip of...

Really intrigued by “Tal” by Tal Farlow (1981 Japanese pressing). Good album. Would love suggestions for other hidden gems of bebop guitar.

Not sure if it’s aficionado enough, but listening to Clark Terry and Bob Brookmeyer Quintet in The Power of Positive Swinging. On vinyl (mint) S/6054 Mainstream Records. Really fun album.

The Blue Hour sessions are fantastic! Sugar, is a bit cheesy for me. Not bad, just not my taste. I think the massive reverb isn’t helping for me. Still, the solos, especially Hubbard, lack directionality to me. He seems aimless. His early solos we...

I don’t think we’re allowed to dislike anything in this thread. I like Zappa. Lots of examples of jazzy rockers. I’ve always loved shows by some bands that end up being jazz concerts, and the audience doesn’t know. Great example is Dave Matthews B...

My current obsession, btw, is Renaud Garcia-Fons Trio. In particular Arcoluz.

I mean, David Benoit is literally the sound of the weather channel. But something has to be elevator music, right? We can’t just stand there awkwardly in silence. It’s important we have music that’s so inoffensive while also not evoking any sort o...

I had the opportunity to play with David Benoit recently (I happen to also play music professionally), so I know some good elevator music. ;) doesnt mean it’s bad.

Wow, you all are harsh. Sorry I don’t like a particular album. I bought the album because of the lineup. I found the music (The tracks I listened to) to not really come together. Like they weren’t playing as a group but more as a bunch of individu...
Node2i + Qutest or Yggy or Codex or something else
The Chord Hugo 2 can easily be found used in your price range. I highly recommend it. Haven’t heard the Ayre, but I’m sure it’s also fantastic.

Better. That’s like good elevator music. Still not my cup of tea. Love jazz. Don’t love this.

Just got the double LP Freddie Hubbard/Stanley Turrentine In Concert. Unlistenable. I made it through one side of one LP.

What’s your budget? Do you have a place nearby that might have some of them, at least with headphones so you can get a sense of the sound? They are all going to sound pretty different. Why the Qutest and not the Hugo 2?
Air Tight PC-1 Coda and more options to upgrade my analog setup
I’ve had the ARC Reference 6 in the system for a few days now and all I can say is ... wow. Way more improvement than I had imagined. It’s clear I’ve not touched the limit of capability from the Mytek Manhattan II DAC yet. Not only is the soundsta...
