LDR Active Preamp - does it exist?
After lightly reading this thread I thought I would comment on it. I have the Burson buffer and the Lightspeed LDR. It is a outstanding combo. It would solve your high input voltage issue. Just put it before the Lightspeed and after your source. I...
Paperback Writer
Thanks for sharing. Well well done.
how can I make the back wall transparent?
I like the hang on the rope idea. Easier to borrow some if you run out in the you know---. I should of guessed 'Charmin' because that is the way I want my system to sound. And by the way that little 'Charmin' doll should try out for American Idol ...
When a Reviewer "likes" something
I appreciate both sides this discussion. I think Raul is right to a large degree but I am not sure what that degree is. I am not surprised that Wolf likes and, I thinks say he, that his tube equip is fun. Just think guitar amps. I agree with both....
how can I make the back wall transparent?
Wow. This is a great thread. I am going to try the rolls of, sshh, tp. It will be less expensive than real traps or others and I can change the design anytime I want. Wow!! I can paint them the rainbow colors if I want to. Oh now I am getting exci...
WAF -1000000000 Biggest sub in the world.
Honey I want to buy a house just for my sound system is that ok? I will be living there 4 days a week. The basement I am going to turn into one big subwoofer. It will only cost eight times more than our house here. Isn't that really good? When you...
Is there a perfect speaker?
I have a two perfect speakers. In fact because my whole system is just so perfect and I really do not know why for sure I was thinking of starting the thread 'Why does my system sound so perfect?' or because I haven't been to work for three yrs an...
Jazz for aficionados
O-10. Again thanks for the cool, serene, happy music. I know it is called jazz but there is some peaceful soul in there. Thanks again for your sharing really sublime music.
Jazz for aficionados
O-10 Thanks for the great music posts. I gotta get some. I would tell Frogman thanks but I can't connect to his. And Frogman, Rok2id and Pnmeyer I was born in '56 and never exposed to a lot of jazz so some of these is new to me but checking it out...
The Weavers
Thanks Marty and Ghosthouse. Yes the Mamas and Papas are cool harmonies. Thanks again
The Weavers
Thanks Almarg. Good stuff. Another group I also enjoy is the Kingston Trio.
Gold Point Passive pre-amp
I use passives. I agree with Clio 09, and that is, to try it before to see if it fits in your system. One thing when going to a passive I have found is that it cleans things up, cleans that window on the sound. It may be perceived as making things...
The Weavers
To me the best musical instrument is the voice. It is easy for me to get caught up in good vocal harmonies such as the Weavers, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, The Persuasions, Simon and Garfunkel, Peter Paul and Mary, the Beach Boys, Everley Brothe...
Non-feedback amplification topology and frequency
Thanks Atmasphere.
Non-feedback amplification topology and frequency
Atmasphere, is it so that a non negative feedback design does not have any odd order harmonics? If that is not true where does that leave us? I highly respect your dialog on this forum and I don't want to stop it so my question is a sincere one. I...
