Looking for good bookshelf speakers less than $1k
Hard to beat the small size and band for the buck of the KEF ls50s but I think most of the home audio speakers you identify are designed to perform best on stands with some distance from walls. Not to say they might not sound very good still other...

As I stated up front in my first post, the relationship between electricity and magnetism is well documented so I have no doubt changes to one will affect the other. HEnce My interest in the design concept behind the product. The questions will be ...
Totem Model 1
I'd grab them in a blink of an eye once I knew they were in good working order for that price.
Pathos and Dynaudio
All good recommendations I am sure.I use BEl Canto ref1000m monoblocks with my Dynaudio Contour 1.3mkII monitors and results are top notch. A class D based integrated like BEl canto or Wyred might come in cheaper than some and still be able to del...
What are the best speakers for 80's hard rock?
Even distortion produced by design in rock music only sounds right when played back accurately. Adding noise and distortion during playback is always bad, even if present in the source material. No doubt rock music always sounds best played back on...

Tbg,Why do you oppose peoples right to challenge what at least appears to be in question? All DD has to do is say he is not financially affiliated with the maker when asked. HE has decided to not do that repeatedly when asked. If he is, obviously ...

What are the best speakers for 80's hard rock?
I never liked cerwin vega with anything including hard rock but that is their most common application in practice I'd bet.

Here's what a google search on high fidelity cables turns up on the technology from the vendor's website. The accounting DD cites would seem to have some discrepancies, for example the website mentions exposing the wire to magnetic fields as part o...
Best tube amp for electrostatic speakers
Regarding availability of engineers, its very much supply and demand. The demand is huge and the supply of really good ones limited. I wish education and engineers, doctors, nurses, teachers etc. got more respect in American culture in general. Th...

If you like the polite and very nonfatiguing sound of the folded ribbon tweeter, it might be hard to find anything else similar.
What are the best speakers for 80's hard rock?
The CErwin Vega recommendations are interesting. Its been many years but that is one brand of speakers I can say I have never, ever heard sound good. The bass always seems to be muddy. DID these get better later on? Specific models that are better...
