Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em? Which episode is that? I've seen them but only for a few fleeting seconds here and there. Inquiring minds want to know.
Jazz for aficionados Best live jazz performance for me to date was French act julien lourau groove gang at snug harbor club in New Orleans just prior to the jazz heritage festival there a few years back. Lord in heaven were those guys something else! 😎
Jazz for aficionados Now is the best time for jazz. Lots of wonderful new talents snd recordings out there not mention many remasters and reissues of classics from over the years plus the originals as well. More than ever in essence. And most modern jazz recordings ev...
Rock and roll speakers? R&r, you are welcome. Easy question, easy answer. The reason is the high efficiency and relative affordability of those. Tekton and zu are other similar options in that regard.
MBL 101e mk 2 Speaker Owners? If I had the room and money for big Mbls I would strongly consider them. But I don't so I will settle with what I have. I would not count the ohms out without a fight though even in that Mbl sized room in that I would love to save the 💰💰💰 .
MBL 101e mk 2 Speaker Owners? Golden ear is an interesting option to Mbl. I very much like the aon3s. If the tritons sound similar but bigger those are big hitters for the money as well.

MBL 101e mk 2 Speaker Owners? The big MBLs require a special larger room to sound their best. I've heard them sound that way at a dealers optimized for mbl showroom and then heard the same setup sound just average or worse at a show. There are other omnidirectional or wide disp...
High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz "In the past 2 years, mind-blowing improvements have been a regular occurrence here at Tweak Central. Two months ago a regular listener (and audiophile) said my system was the best it's ever been. Since then I've made at least half dozen large impr...
What is the best HEAVY METAL speaker? I would take on most comers with my setup and OHM 5s, at least on my home court or in a similar fair home venue. Maybe not in a large auditorium or arena though. I would defer to the high efficiency horns for that.
Thoughts on the Signal Path You would think. Might wreck havoc on phase coherence as well. At least if really long.Purist's want to keep everything short and simple. Of course how often are purists right when it comes to the big picture? Synthesis is usually more effective w...
Why do some cd's have no bass Now I'll be running my Squeezebox Touch in Spectrum Analyzer display mode to really see which CDs truly have no bass. most seem to have at least some as would be expected. |
