Miracles in Audio, by luck, by good choices,by design or by tweaking...
Obviously madman’s butt is still stinging from the recent beat down. Like all your theories, that one needs some work too.  Hopefully your meds are not too much of an impediment.
I gre out of Be Tweeters
If things keep heading in the current directions, I could consider dumping amplifiers altogether at some point in favor of active speakers with all the goodies built in, but only if the cost of replacement when something goes wrong is not too high...

Hey Mahgister, keep at it! Maybe you can help GK get his theories right.

I had a lovely Class G Hitachi sr-804 receiver for many years but as time went on it got a bit long in the tooth for whatever reason. I was enamored with Heil Air motion transformers back when I first started but gave up on them when they kept get...
Something For The Fuse Guys ...
Apparently the systems at RMAF used the wrong fuses.  Go figure!
Something For The Fuse Guys ...
The irrefutable fact is whatever effect a particular fuse has on sound is based on conjecture which is fine because conjecture is a huge part of "high end audio". Not all conjecture is created equal though. If sworn affidavits on an audiogon chat ...

Katie makes things up as needed to sell his point, products whatever tickles his fancy. The last guy I’d want on my team pitching the benefits of my product unless of course there are no benefits.

Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
Just to clarify in my L shaped room my Ohms are both to the right of center of the rear wall. Stereo imaging is wall to wall. For mono recordings the center image is left of the left speaker...yes you heard right the center image is to the left of...
Something For The Fuse Guys ...
Yea well the problem is Op offered to send me a fuse to try and I accepted because I was genuinely curious. When I reported back and did not get the advertised results I was marginalized and my ability to listen questioned.  One particular "pest" ...
New Joseph Audio Pulsar Graphene 2
Yes setting up subs right can be a hassle. I use one in a smaller room with Kef ls50 ( also very mbl/Joseph like but small with limited low end extension). Just one located right next to my listening spot. This was the easiest sub setup I ever att...
Something For The Fuse Guys ...
Just for the record, I agree with prof. Also I have stated multiple times in the past that fuses can make a difference and even described scenarios I have encountered over the years where changing a fuse did. So based on that guess what? One might...
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
Yea Mr Guttenburg did not have time to get set up right or could have been listening for the wrong center location if not a solid center image. That’s an Ohm strength. Mine is rock solid center of wall, but not center between speakers. That’s anot...
New to the two channel world - Advice needed on preamp
Pretty much any preamp including tube pre-amps should work fine with that amp. So it really comes down to what you need in a pre-amp. You probably want a newer model with latest greatest usb input. Otherwise a separate dac with analog out. integra...
Something For The Fuse Guys ...
aux you actually gave a constructive response earlier about how fuses are used in various gear and I don’t hear anyone complaining so not sure what you are fussing about. Would you prefer all assertions no matter how much based on conjecture be ta...
