Harbeth Love and your experiences I had a nice Harbeth 40.2 demo at Deja Vu Audio in Northern Virginia a little while back and enjoyed it very much. Still an Ohm Walsh guy though when it comes to getting the most enjoyment and just wanting to sit and listen for hours on end. Not...
Axe to grind know it alls There is an epidemic per se but it need not be contagious.
Axe to grind know it alls Say what? I’m too busy enjoying my stuff to worry about what people say about hifi's here..
Whats on your turntable tonight? Uberwaltz knows his classic and prog rock. 👍One small correction: “Magic is a Child”.
Klipsch Forte III--Pleasantly Surprised One thing I noticed when auditioning Forte III is they do recordings no favors. Big difference between good recordings and bad. That’s probably a positive thing in terms of a speakers ability to correctly render a recording. More so than most I wo...
Class-D Audio USA have just released their new GaN amp at the CES Ah I found the price at the bottom of the article. Starting at ~7k. Much better. Smooth sounding integrated <$1k Rogue Sphinx was my second choice but I went with Bel canto C5i first because I wanted to give the latest and greatest modern digital amp technology a shot before relying on more tubes (and less flexibility with digital sources) and have never loo...
Smooth sounding integrated <$1k Bel Canto C5i is smooth and clean as it gets and might be had used for under $1k.
New Rouge Dragon amplifier Rogue has a great track record of providing top notch sound for good value. I'm betting this continues that.
Can you tell me why I didn't like the Reference 3a MM's? I’ve heard the Fritz off a ~ 10 watt tube amp at a show. Not efficient but an easy load and they sounded amazingly top notch at moderate volume in a typical size hotel room. One of the best of show. I would love to pick up a pair someday. |
