Perfect Path Total Contact no longer?
BE alert for the campaign of confusion that we will be subjected to continuously until November in order to distract from facts. Nothing negative or harmful to fearless leader’s image will ever be admitted to or responsibility taken by the current...
power cord directionality
Who knows.  Try it and see if you must.
Heresy IVs
I would speculate that since the 4s go deeper in the bass than 3s then amps may run out of gas sooner and they may not be as good in some ways as 3s with lower powered amps. Low powered tube amps might soft clip sooner. It’s basic physics that you...
Why no interest in reel to reel if you're looking for the ultimate sound?
Less practical now than it ever was.

The original vinyl release of “The Wall” is a very good recording, one of the best rock recordings of its time. I sold a lot of hifi gear with that recording. “Aja” by Steely Dan another. Jeff Wayne’s “War of the Worlds” recording another personal...

Yes Suzanne Summers can do wonders for one's hifi.
Has anyone else auditioned something that really was terrible?
You listen to a system, including the room and its acoustics, not individual components. It’s always possible a particular unit is defective and that should be ruled out first, but when things sound really bad most often it is because the component...
Receiver working as pre-amp, TURNS OFF, whenever Second Zone/Speaker B goes loud
Yes running two pair of speakers from most 2 channel amps concurrently puts the two in the circuit in parallel which lowers the impedance and that will make the amp tap out sooner. You might consider trying an external speaker switch. Good ones ha...
Discussion of Class D Amps Application & Experiences
Also Elac has some low profile Class D amps out there these days. Anyone heard and able to comment?
Amp have enough air space?
Watch that it does not get too hot. If it does not the best scenario for longevity and sound may or may not be affected.
Can speakers be stored in a garage?
I would not store anywhere subject to wide temperature swings. Also of course needs to be secure from thieves.
