If you have concrete floors at foundation level you are good to go there.Turntable just needs a solid foundation on top of that. and that should cover it.For example my table (Linn Axis...pretty robust on its own) sits on a low solid oak wooden ta...
How do you choose your daily dose of music?
Most of the time I’m streaming from my music server using Squeeze system (Squeezebox Touch) and just select to play random tracks. When I think of something I want to hear I add it. When the last track in the queue plays, a plugin adds more simila...
Your advice needed, speakers to buy $8K to $13K
If you are considering Ohms the largest model the 5000s are within your budget.  Those have level adjustments including for treble that can be used to add more “air”than otherwise.    Those are unique.   But lots of good choices for that budget an...

Because opinions here are free and don’t cost anything. Plus everybody has one.The key is always being able to synthesis useful information out of it all somehow.   Having many data points to start with helps.
New-ish to Audiogon Forums... Is it always like this?
I’ll go out on a limb and say the reason for the difference between here and audio circle is this site is here primarily to sell stuff and make money...the forum is in support of that and pretty much anything goes, as long as no laws get broken.
I need more Power Scotty !!!!
The one thing to NOT expect from ls50s is to go really loud with them (which of course requires more power).Using a sound meter app, I find I seldom go louder than 88 db SPL which is about the level of an automobile engine. Not that they can’t go ...

Is it any different somewhere else?
