what are the pros and cons of either amp power specification? Good answersBest performance not Always = best sound. Best sound is totally subjective. But you have a better chance at best sound when performance is good. So if you have the typical modest load speaker that would probably make me lean towards th...
Anyone hear the Class D Audio Mini GaN 5 amp yet? Is it a coincidence that when you put transistors in a glass tube that looks like a electron tube that suddenly the sound is called SET like? As opposed to your typical Spartan Class D amp box that no SET fan in their right mind would ever own, eh?

Anyone hear the Class D Audio Mini GaN 5 amp yet? Let me know when someone actually buys one and listens to it and can share their findings. I am tempted for that price but can’t justify another amp quite yet. The longer one waits, the better off one usually is in regards to the product/technolog...
The NAD M33 will cancel your complaints about Class D I do tend to have some concern for long term reliability of complex devices from NAD like the m33. Otherwise it seems to be the bees knees for a reasonable price versus the competition for all that it does well.

Need definitions of: Dark; Warm; and Bright Just semantics but dark refers to a sound with treble and perhaps some midrange tipped down, warm to sound with an emphasis on midrange, where most music happens and bright is the opposite of dark.
any suggestions on what to replace Bluesound Node 2i with Yes I would look at the Cambridge streamer before dropping $4500 on one.
any suggestions on what to replace Bluesound Node 2i with Have you tried a different connection than optical with the Bluesound? That alone might make a difference.
any suggestions on what to replace Bluesound Node 2i with When it’s digital it is not hard to make something sound different as desired . So no doubt streamers can sound different for many reasons. Outboard DSP is likely to be able to reproduce similar results. I think it’s better to say I have never hea...
Anyone hear the Class D Audio Mini GaN 5 amp yet? Practically on many cases it does but performance alone may not equal good sound. Good sound is a subjective not necessarily an objective determination.
Do active speakers have high THD amplifiers? The answer is No.
The NAD M33 will cancel your complaints about Class D Lots of great class d besides those. I understand everyone has their personal preferences and different gear gels differently with others. but anyone who just totally disses Class D as not worthy categorically loses credibility with me instantly ... |
