Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
Reb,I think you can do it for $1500 and separates can deliver better performance, especially since you already have the separate phono pre-amp.You could do a Juicy Music Peach + Musical Fidelity A3CR or something similar for about that. That would...
Dream speakers and amp for an 11x14 room?
"One mitigating factor, I'm told, is that the Ohms aren't pure omnis, with front-facing tweeters and a wide-dispersion midrange cone that omits firing toward the back wall. I spoke to John Strobheen at Ohm who told me he figured between a foot and...

Dylan live now
Yes, his voice these days is worse than ever.As has always been the case with Dylan though, his voice is what it is and lately it adds an additional layer of grit to whatever he performs, for better or for worse. I actually find it better and nice...

Rebbi,For greatest potential improvement, I'd look towards the separates if viable for you. I doubt you could go wrong with Bel Canto for compactness or even Musical Fidelity or Classe (those would be leading contenders were it me). A nice inexpen...

" I love how they look and I am always amazed by both Edison and his genius and that something over 100 years old with no electric parts still plays so reliably"I'm in that camp as well.I remember Quentin Collins playing his soothing music on his ...
Should I avoid thick vinyl?
"Once I set my rig up and it sounds wonderful I leave it alone."Me too.
Anyone have a victrola
The closest thing I have managed to-date with a Victrola is a rear lit clock on my wall behind my system with the RCA Victrola/Nipper logo on it. I found that from a vendor on Ebay for about $100.

Anyone have a victrola
No, but I would love to have one even if just as a show piece if I came upon one in good shape and not too expensive. Don't know how likely that is though.I recently recorded all my families heirloom 78s that used to be played on a Victrola years ...
