Replacing a Sonos Connect with another Streamer - The digital dilemma! For about half your budget the Bluesound Node2i will probably beat the Sonos
Should I sell my DAC I used the Oppo 105 as my DAC in my 2 channel system for about a year, including the usb with my MacAir. I then upgraded to a Mytek Manhatten, and now use a Bryston DAC3. I still use the 105 as a transport. Interestingly, the Manhattan used the...
Evaluating Classical Music Albums Not all performers are equally good in all repertoire. Your favorite Wagnerian soprano may sound silly singing Handel. Frequently recorded Conductors made many records that didn’t suit their strengths—think Karajan’s Debussy “Das Mer”.Pianists t...

Does any one have a link to Playboys stereo systems of the rich and famous? Remember Woody Harrelson in The People vs Larry Flynn lampooning Playboy for being out of touch with their readers? He was holding the current issue and reading the title of an Article, “How To Improve Your Stare-we-oh”
Streamer opinion.. Pease comment on validity. I suppose one can argue that an automobile is a device that transports individuals from A to B, and as long as it has 4 wheels, an internal combustion engine, there is no difference between say, a Yugo and a Porsche.
Slot, tray, or top load? I had one top loader, the Rega Apollo. It was a slow, finicky machine that rejected many discs as unreadable that played just fine on other players. I have no idea if the top loading had anything to do with it, but I was glad when I got rid of it

Does anyone have a Sony DVP-S9000ES that reads the SACE layer There are settings on the player where it will read either the SACD layer or the CD layer of an SACD. Make sure it is set to SACD if that is what you want
best way to get internet radio No, the Bryston cost me almost 4K, although you can get used units for about 2.5K. I didn’t buy it for Internet Radio, but since it’s there I give it a listen. Bluesound is fine and the TuneIn app within the Bluesound OS works well, and you can ...
New to Streaming and Need some Help I think you have it down. I would get the Synology NAS and transfer all your files (I also have a 918+). With streaming one important consideration is the controlling App. Synology comes with MinimServer and LMS available. I don’t know much ab...
best way to get internet radio I have used an Apple TV, Bluesound, and a Bryston BDP3 to access Internet Radio. They all work and have provided a lot of pleasure. The Bryston sounds better, but as it is a lot more expensive than the other two, it darn well ought to. Bluesoun...

The Modern DAC killed High Resolution Music - has Stereophile proven it? “It is always hard to tell if this is due to technology or the remastering process....”I don’t really understand this statement . The recording that I was referring to, the Shostakovich Tenth Symphony with Nelsons and the Boston SO, is a recent ... |
