What equipment do you most regret parting with??
A pair of Mac 240s hooked up to a Marantz 7C driving a pair of Cartwell LS3/5as. Shear synergy.
Best vintage receivers for FM?

Best value speakers available
At $10K the Harbeth 40.1 is tough to beat. Bass, midrange magic, ease of drive, musicality-they play music.
Sealed Loudspeakers?
Esp speakers are some of the best sounding speakers. The smaller models were some of the best at the RMAF.As Glide3 said, they are sealed.
Least sensative speaker to placement
I completely agree with Jimaxp. Heard the Podiums at the RMAF also. Pretty incredible.Heard the larger versions at Audible Arts in San Jose, Ca. Weren't broken in, only a couple hours old, and still sounded good.As placement friendly as there is.
Subwoofer for Harbeth M30?
Have the velodyne 1200s. Took awhile to dial in to taste, but worth the trouble. Seems to open up the Harbeths quite a bit. Velodynes can be found all over the internet at huge discounts!
Brand preference and opinions
You really have to listen to all the gear and don't worry about brand names. Go to all the dealers and shows that you can.Went to the Rmaf in October and determined that there were 3 types rooms at the show. The 30 second rooms, the 3 minute rooms...
Inexpensive integrated to drive Klipsch
Try the Sophia baby amp. A great match with my Khorns. I have 2 of them. Plenty of them on Ebay and Audiogon.
Anyone compare Devore and Harbeth speakers?
Also heard the Harbeth 40 at the RNAF and would agree with Glory. One of the better sounds at the show at any price. Only topped by the ESPs.
B&W Signature Diamond : Anyboy heard them?
Would try the Wilson Benesch Trinity before final payment. Heard at the RMAF! Tough to beat.
Mac 275 questions........
Had the origanal and now have the new. Built like a tank, plays music, not real tubey but not harsh like some solid state gear. Can drive most anything. Should be a good match with the Infinitys, especially used in the mono configuration. My other M...
Which Mundorf for my tubes?
Paul,The Dynamicaps and Hovalands are both a little zippy for me. The Auricaps are a little cleaner and more neutral. Then there is Mundorf- cleaner, clearer and more detail without the zip.Installed Mundorfs in my Modwright pre. Had a dealer insta...
Harbeth M30 -
Once you have owned either Harbeth or Spendor, it becomes very hard to change brands. I hate to use the term- but they are musical. Heard many very linear boring speakers at the RMAF. Heard many people auditioning speakers with bird chirps and tap...
Which Mundorf for my tubes?
The walk all over the Vcaps is the quote from the Vcap dealer that installed my Mundorfs. But, I'm sure you have much more knowledge on the subject. Also the choice of hi-end companies at the 2007 RMAF. But I'm only quotig them.
Tube integrated amps
Vincent Audio makes 2 integrated amps that are between $1k and $2k. Heard them at a show. Tough to beat at 2 to 3 times the price. I think they were the model 226 and 236.Beautiful sounding and to look at.
