Yet Another Post About Power Conditioners!
Can’t this RFI problem be addressed on the AC lines running between service panel and receptacles? They are possibly acting as antennae. A RF analyzer should be used as suggested by jea48.I bought a cheap one on Amazon, very effective.
Is This Morgan Freeman?
Not him. Doesn't have the tonal qualities of speaking from the diaphragm.
Which DAC is better?
Node2i doesn't have USB output. Use optical or SPDIF coax into the Hint digital input. Very likely the Hint Dac will be an improvement over analogue output of Node2i.Coax digital is usually best interface, you have many choices of cables.

If you're using the Node2i's internal Dac, then I agree with buddyboy. Adding a standalone DAC will improve SQ in every way. A R2R multibit has a more forgiving presentation.

Vibration was mentioned earlier. Are your components isolated from your rack/furniture? Are you using any footers to decouple or drain vibration from the components? My system suffered from harsh highs on many digital tracks, CDs and streaming. It ...

There are different remasters of that album and they sound different. Sometimes it's hard to tell which version is being streamed.

You also cleaned the contacts by removing and then installing a fuse.
Amperex 6DJ8 tube construction
Maybe try Googling vacuum tube mica. Or mica types.
Amperex 6DJ8 tube construction
I agree the one with the extra plate may be a ruggedized tube.Does the left tube have the same Amperex logo? This is a guess, maybe the tube on the right was made in a Mullard plant and branded Amperex Holland. That happened sometimes.
Reel to reel , is it real the hype!
That's fantastic. What a great resource to have.

Why 1/2" tape for home use? It will sound awesome when recording your own material, but not practical if you want to buy prerecorded. Tapes are 1/4", some are 4-track, meaning recordings are on both sides, and some are recorded at 3.75 ips.
