High Fidelity Cables, why most threads about them got deleted Appreciate you posting your experience. What a small world, Rick's place is near your home. There may be some variation in sound as the unit breaks in. Let us know your findings in a few days.
Reel to reel , is it real the hype! 1/2" tape is for professional use. I wouldn't expect to find many prerecorded tapes. Maybe a master recording.I used 1/2" in studio and it sounds wonderful.
High Fidelity Cables, why most threads about them got deleted Thanks @68pete .@ozzy I wouldn't feel comfortable applying it to tube pins. I'm wondering if coating the pins with an enhancer will affect voltage to the tubes and shorten their life expectancy; ie, changing the bias and overdriving the tubes. ??????
High Fidelity Cables, why most threads about them got deleted @ozzy How long do you wait for it to dry? Can it be removed easily (if selling a cable, etc.)Glad to see it's available in a smaller size bottle.
High Fidelity Cables, why most threads about them got deleted Forgot to address the OP's question. I don't recall ever seeing many HF threads here. Maybe they were deleted before I logged on.
High Fidelity Cables, why most threads about them got deleted They're alive and well. I have a few of their products, not the outrageously expensive ones. I've been receiving emails from customer service regarding a delivery date for a power conditioner module. Like many companies, they are experiencing prod...
Good Alternative to Sbooster 12V 0.5A that is less expensive It's possible they are a similar design, but Swagman will customize a component for you and also offers a premium level LPS which uses Japanese internals. Based in HK.
Music Direct and my recent exoeriences +1 @hilde45. Excellent inventory and service at Music Direct.
Good Alternative to Sbooster 12V 0.5A that is less expensive Hi Don, what component will be using a LPS?
Mullard E188CC - but with tight bass? @tvad I never used a 5687. Where are you using it? In something AN I'll bet.
Mullard E188CC - but with tight bass? Barista, I think my Mullard RTC 7308's needed 60 hours of burnin. You should have very good bass extension by then unless something in your system is limiting the low-end.And the heavy engineer makes a good suggestion to tighten up the bass.
Mullard E188CC - but with tight bass? You didn’t burn your RTC’s in. I’m using the Mullard RTC E188CC (7308’s) and they provide me with everything you’re looking for. Suggested by Brent Jessee, they’ve extended the bass in my system. The 7308 also have a clearer top-end than other Mul...
Is there such thing as a "vocal" forward DAC? You've been given good suggestions. Experiment with speaker placement, try some room treatments. Absorbion panels were able to move my soundstage forward and provide a 3D image. You have a new preamp and tubes which need to break in, imaging and dy...

Low gain amp system matching You're correct, it's 18dB. I still read it as 15, my vision is poor. |
