he's decades past relevance, and was never hip in the first place, but tumbleweed connection is unarguably a great record--just pulled it out to listen to with my jaded ex-skatepunk bride, who wholly agrees with the foregoing.also in queue is stev...

i do know ivy--they're adam schlessinger's breathy-pop band--always thought they were overpraised, though they do do what do well. massive attack, otoh, are awesome.since you dug bowery electric, you might check out "still in a dream" on spotify--...

ghost--i do like. he might be a major artist--will explore further. in the meantime, check out bowery electric--not a far cry from where you referred me

here's a new find: asteroid #4, windmill. very melodic leaning acid/folk/pop--a lot of these songs sound like lost summer of love classics

ghost, that arboretum is a very interesting disc--oddly melodic; the vocals are haunting. unique.

pokey, i think tweedy's a smart guy and a good writer, but i tend to respect wilco's craftsmanship rather than genuinely embrace its soul--there's an overly-clinical and cerebral quality to it, whereas farrar, albeit less musically ambitious, is a...
Sub-woofer connection question
agree with the above--unless the amp has inboard bass management you're not likely to hear a huge difference between the connection methods; however i'd opt for the rca out, as there's some sense that the rca cables will provide superior shielding...

agreed on straightaways, even moreso on their debut, "trace"--for some reason "ten second news" always makes me cry. i've always thought farrar was some sort of a genius, though his range is fairly narrow and his records do get somewhat monochroma...

ghost, i'm never offended by (and always welcome) reasoned dissent--it keeps me from getting too full of myself...fully agree with you on danny kirwan, who dropped off the map precipitously (booze/lsd, i think)-- for me the albums he played on wer...

fleetwood mac, "future games" and "bare trees"--for my money the best iteration of the bandpolvo, "today's active lifestyle"--unique, challenging, ultimately rewarding

Looking for a used AUDIOPHILE AV Receiver
almost certainly, avrs depreciate in value more and quicker than any other component--you'll routinely see former totl units listed on craigslist or wherever for a fraction of their multi-grand orignal srp. i think buying used is the smart way to ...
Has anyone considered rebuying a speaker you once owned??
von schweikert vr1--never should have sold 'em, now getting hard to find
List of artists that have never lost quality throughout entire career
i've never been a massive tom petty fan, though he's had a ton of great singles, but i gotta say that (unlike say, dylan, or the stones) his output has been impressively consistent throughout a 40-year career + he still does it live

kevn kinney, macdougall blues--his drivin n cryin has always registered as a bit too desperate-for-arena-rock-success, but this is something of a folky masterpiece.guided by voices, do the collapse--this was their ric ocasek-produced foray into hi...
