Look at Quadraspire out of the UK. Well-made and modular.

I'm using Vandies.
Konfounding Kinks
A great thread (for a change) and, yes, these lads are the joint. Unfairly dismissed as not worthy of "top 5" status, I'd make the case that, excepting the Beatles, who were on another planet, The Kinks are more witty, erudite and varied than The ...
What three cd's would one keep from collection ?
Beatles-"White" (most varied collection by greatest band ever)Beethoven-Symphony 3, 5, 7 or 9Dead-American Beauty OR Stones-Exile
What is the best doors album in your opinion?
Strange Days for me. I find it to be the most trippy.
best cartridge for my system
Stick with the Rega cart you have for a while then move up to the Exact. Don't "f" around with other brands. Rega works great with Rega and the geometry is correct!
cables for Lavardin/ Living Voice combo ??
DNM cables are great and easy to use.

KAB 1200 vs. everything else.
The modded 1210 is "fun", but not as spectacular as Kevin's claim . I love Kevin, though. I'd suggest you listen to a Rega 3 or 5 and see what you think. I'd own a 1210 in a hearbeat, though. It is rock-solid and will provide more music than ANY C...

Rega Brio kicks.
first time vinyl
The Rega P2, 3 are nice. The KAB-modded Technics 1210 is very fun too. You'll dig these. The Rega P5 swings better than the above, BUT it is a tad more pricey.
Linn Sondek Isolation
If you can find one (good luck) get what I use. An Audiotech dedicated TT stand (I believe same were made in Italy). These were available in the 1980s and are brilliant.
