Looking for a very good integrated solid state amp
I love the Rega you are using but, if it's not good enough for you, tryNaim or Exposure.
Hello Old Friend
BBA is the absolute worst piece of dreck Jeff ever put out. It's a throw-away record. I know arguing "taste" is unfair but, really, you find this to be an "old friend"?How about...Kinks "Muswell Hillbillies"?
Stick a fork in Dylan, he's done.
Csontos-Curious about how much of Dylan's work you've heard if the 2 albums you mention above are your favs. Have you heard his 1960s or 70s output?
Linn Axis w/basic arm/Denon DL 160 should I bite?
His price is nuts and the caps cannot be replaced. Stay away. Buy a Rega.
$165k - $200k speaker performance for $40k ?
Holy cow...your "large room" is bigger than the footprint of my house. I knew that Ivy League degree meant zippo.
Integrated or receiver or separates advice sought
Your handle is "Naim" and you're asking what to buy?
Need advise on amp choice
"Advice", not "advise". Your 3rd grade teacher is crying.
James Taylor reissues?
Rebbi-Just buy the first 3 JT albums and you can thank me later. I think you'll see how far he fell after you listen to those. It's like Cat Stevens...amazing early work, mediocre later output.
James Taylor reissues?
You're a big JT fan and you don't list his 2 best efforts...Sweet Baby James and Mud Slide Slim? I understand you can't argue "taste" but I'm very surprised. Have you heard those?
Micromega MyDac and Windows XP
So, let me get this straight...you call the Micromega a "big improvement" but you cannot install it?Get a Mac and all your probs will be solved.

I like what you had.
Fremer lays an Ostrich egg...
Mr. French Fries- I thought I was insecure...until I read your post. It's OK when someone else thinks less of something than you do.
Top 3 from: Allman Bros, Tull, Kansas & Feat
Allmans-Fillmore, Eat and IdlewildTull-Benefit, Stand Up, This WasKansas-they blowLittle Feat-debut only
Paying it Forward ...
Beatles-"White"GD-"Europe 72"Who-"Tommy"T-Rex-"Electric Warrior"Bowie-"Ziggy"
E.L.O. - Electric Light Orchestra
The LPs you mention in the body of your post are their best works. I believe they became more popular after those 2, scoring some hits, but went "commercial".
