looking for advice to mitigate inner groove distortion
Cleeds, I don’t think we are listening to each other. I am saying that I do not think that the particular symptom reported by the OP is due to misalignment. I did not say that misalignment could not cause distortion, although I have my private dou...

Greg, the saving grace of Stevenson alignment is low distortion at inner grooves, compared to the two popular alternatives. One could argue about alignment all day but I strongly doubt that misalignment or Stevenson alignment can account for this ...

Both channels?  Or one channel more than the other?cleeds, I think your thought about alignment is reasonable, but as was noted elsewhere, misalignment is not usually that obvious in my own experience and that of others. Also, where is the motor lo...
Any Recommendations For Line-Contact P-Mount Cartridge?
You may be correct about the B &O P mount system, but I think it is the standard headshell adapter method that is unique for the B&O. without the headshell adapter it is a normal p mount . But please do check to make sure I am correct on t...
Any Recommendations For Line-Contact P-Mount Cartridge?
SoundSmith makes modern day equivalents to the P-mount B&O MMC series of phono cartridges and also they can re-tip the original B&Os, so you can end up with a line contact stylus on a ruby cantilever.  Check their website.

Makes very good sense not to run the audio at the same time you run radio transmitters.  You know what I was getting at.

Audible IGD is not necessarily "part of the deal" with vinyl.  (Tracking angle error is typically greatest at the innermost grooves but this is not necessarily linearly related to audio signal distortion.) Can you describe what you hear and when y...
Do any of your Rolling Stones recordings bring "Satisfaction"?
Sympathy for the Devil rocks on any system.

Slimloading MMs is about both C and R.  Optima are different for every cartridge or certainly every brand of cartridge. So for sure I would not say that every single MM cartridge will sound better at 100 K ohms. I have found that my old Grado TLZ ...

Slim,  it’s fine to use a 22K load resistor on your MM cartridges, but just realize that you are probably rolling off the high frequencies below 20 kHz. Also, I was not sure what you were saying about the ground cable you have around your house. W...
Eminent technology et2 on Linn Lp12
It’s been decades since I have seen any version of an ET tonearm in the flesh, so the talk about leaf springs etc. leaves me in the dark. However, thanks CT and everyone else for clarifying the issue. So clearly there is an issue mating a DL 103 t...
Can you run the HANA SL MC at 100 ohms?
I think the op means he is using a SUT with 1:10 ratio and 47k on the secondary, which means cartridge sees 470 ohms.

My question was not about ET tonearm, really, but thanks.

What is the effective mass of the AudioNote Arm1?  DL103 likes a VERY high effective mass; there’s almost no practical limit to how high as against almost any other cartridge I know about.  Which is to say the compliance of the DL103 is VERY low. ...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
I think most of the online companies that sell Styli for what they consider to be low end MM cartridges are selling aftermarket reproductions with a completely clear conscience, because they think they are helping out people who are trying to mak...
