Experience w Bybee products for AC power?
Dasign,Thanks for the interesting post. Did your Benchmark had an aftermarket power cord when you tried this? Does it make a difference?Do you run your system on dedicated power lines?yet another shiny thing to go chase! :-)cheers
JPLAY - It aint subtle
Cerrot,Thanks for the reply. I recalled from prior exchanges, a good while ago, you had the Juli@>Esoteric reclocker>DAC, but didn't know if this was still your current setup. I wonder if the reclocker isn't the key difference here. Neverthe...
PSB Imagine T2 upgrade over Focal 726V ?
I have not heard the T2, but building on the above post and further extrapolating, my B&W 804S are significantly better than my friends 726V, so the T2 must be a lot better than the 726V.

Cerrot,I'm interested in your experience, as I'm getting ready to build a server and I'm wondering about this. Are you using Windows Server 2012 plus AudioPhil's Optimizer, plus JRiver19?I'm following AudioPhil's recipe for the server and plan tu ...
Music Server vs Computer?
I guess it depends mostly on how much time you are willing to spend experimenting. A PC gives you so much flexibility, both hardware and software. The music server is convenient and simplicity.Check out computeraudiophile/music servers or jplay fo...
Two Subs?
"If I could I would place a sub in the front Left or Right corner and a sub in the opposite corner on the rear wall."That would very likely be a bad choice as both subs would be exciting the same room modes. One sub in one corner is good, but the ...
DSPeaker Anti Mode 2.0 evaluation
Ozzy, how did you come to the conclusion it was defective?
B&W 804s + Atma-Sphere M60 MkIII.2
Michel, thanks for the insight. I still would love tho hear the Tannoys, but it's sounding like it might not be my cup of tea.Swampwalker, interesting input! Somebody posted the Grand Veenas as becoming distorted at high SPLs, attributed to their ...
Two Subs?
Back when I had the REL Storm I was getting much better bass response than when I didn't have the sub connected. No question it sounded, and measured better with the sub on. But there was no way around certain room modes, despite trying several di...
Two Subs?
I suppose he means the REL recommended approach of getting the signal to the sub from the speaker terminals, then the main speaker amp and the speakers themselves are still reproducing the whole bandwidth. An alternative approach places a crossove...
Two Subs?
Hello. What would you be trying to achieve by getting a second sub? Your REL probably has enough output for your room size, for music. I used a Storm III in a 30x18x9 for music and it was ok. But I grew interested in acoustics and got myself a meas...
PC to External Sound Card to DAC?
Hello.I don't have direct experience with any of those products, but since you are not getting any replies, here are my thoughts as tips/guidelines.Adding a card is generally a good idea, but Creative doesn't make audiophile-type kind cards, to my...
B&W 804s + Atma-Sphere M60 MkIII.2
Michel, and Franks,I apologize as it seems my post was not clearly written. I was not insinuating Franks was steering Michel in any direction whatsoever. Didn't mean to.The comment about steering someone and being well behaved was a way of making ...
B&W 804s + Atma-Sphere M60 MkIII.2
Swampwalker,I wasn't aware the Supremas had passive subs. There is still an argument for adding independent subs: a) the more bass sources in the room, the flatter the bass response (again, per Earl Geddes); b) the optimal bass drive placement is ...
B&W 804s + Atma-Sphere M60 MkIII.2
Michel,Indeed, I have always heard very good things about customer service from Atmasphere. That is great. Seems is up to you which amp to go with. BTW, I've been very well behaved in not steering you towards the MC275 as I'm quite intrigued about...
