Distortion in amps;most/least annoying?
Right now I'm looking to add sone second order distortion to the upper mids. Might bias the drivers hotter. Intrestingly my speakers (Omega) are wired with bigger gage on the positive than the negitave. I wonder?
Tube flash
Jaff keep looking, Its in there buried
A blasphemy....I know....
I laugh at my GF when she tells me yellow and blue make green. Then we make mad passionate love to resolve the arguement.
Tube flash
See Emission labs' website under advanced tech notes about tube flash. Something about inrush current and new, high transconductance tube along with the wrong grid resistor value. And may powdered sugar fall gently upon your ears tonight

How tall are your speaker stands
As an alternitive place the woofer 38percent of celing height and tilt the speaker so the tweeter is aiming at your ears. Maybe turn the speaker upside down. IDK just feeling kinda radical today.

Small monitor- made in the states
I just tried fritzs' 261 very impressive but too big for my room. So I'm going to go with his 'Monitor X'

I failed to mention that I do have a velodyne SMS1 and a 300b amp. The amp doesn't do the lower frequencys as well as the sub so the idea is to cross as high as possible and let the SMS handle the 63hz node but most of the good monitors that a set...
Cap voltage
Considering Mundorf silver in oil over V cap tftf. Maybe they will give me a little more wooden second order distortion: not so "perfect" I'll stick with stock values and ratings. Thanks all! And may powdered sugar fall gently upon your ears this ...
Cap voltage
But what about value? Is a little smaller better?

I feel real stupid right now. The DC offset is about 450v
