Rega TT-PSU drops right channel
I have one thing to add - if your PSU is a separate unit, like mine that I use for my P5, I was told when I purchased it that it will function better if it is not turned off - I always leave mine on, and have never had any problems with it.

I agree - those AIVS products are great.

Rok, I am flabbergasted. I was directly quoting you, not Frogman. Everything Frogman has said is indeed perfectly clear, and what you have said about "nuts and bolts" does not in any way resemble anything he has said. Assuming that you are being s...

Hi guys - just caught up to all the posts today. Rok, I guess you now want to move on, but before we do, I honestly, along with Frogman, am even more confused about what you think you are talking about with your "nuts and bolts" comment. I grant y...

Rok, I have read through this whole last week's posts on this thread and I still have no idea a) just exactly what you think you mean by "nuts and bolts" and b) why you apparently set no value on it. Frogman made a valiant attempt to explain, and ...

Acman, that CS Lewis quote is fantastic! Do you happen to know where that is from exactly? Rok, Frogman as usual answered your questions very well. The only thing I would add about differences between different orchestras is that obviously budget ...

Rok, which episode? I don't see Tube Amps listed on any of them for tonight.

Schubert, and also Rok, Herman Baumann's recording of the Mozart Horn Concerti on natural horn, conducted by Nicolas Harnoncourt, with the Concentus Musicus Wien, on the Telefunken label, is the finest natural horn playing I know of. Truly astound...

Hi Schubert - I am really not very familiar with Musica Antiqua Köln. I don't believe the group is actually in existence any more, I think they disbanded several years ago. If I remember correctly, they are the ones who specialized in the lesser k...

Hi Rok - as the resident horn player, allow me to clarify Frogman's answers (which were good). The period instruments (what we now call "natural" horns), had no valves. So they could only get the notes of the natural harmonic series of the key tha...

Wow, lots of posts since I was last able to check in! Sorry guys, but I am in the very busiest part of my season right now and simply don't have time to listen to all these links. In a couple of weeks, I could go back and do so, but right now I ju...
Have you found reliable online used vinyl vendors?
I agree with Dougdeacon. I would estimate that 95% of my vinyl was used when I acquired it. I have only had one bad experience from ebay, and it turned out to be my mistake, as I had misread the ad. I also buy mostly classical, however. It really ...

Rok, on the off chance that you are actually being serious (which I still cannot really believe) - Haven't you ever heard of someone being called "ahead of his time?" Pick any art form you wish, and a very large percentage of the truly greats in t...

Rok, I must agree 100% with Frogman - your comments in your latest post are way off base. Laughable, even. Are you trying to troll us? Seriously?!

Hello everyone - thanks for the reactions to that article. I think Orpheus took most of it in the same way I did. For me, the author's main point actually isn't really about jazz per se, but the fact that Americans don't get instrumental music in ...
