What sound diff. can I expect from PrimaLuna EVO 400 pre and power amps VS an EVO400 int. Agree with tablejockey about getting a separate phonostage.
What sound diff. can I expect from PrimaLuna EVO 400 pre and power amps VS an EVO400 int. IIRC when I asked Upscale this question in 2021 when I bought my 300 Evo Integrated the reply I got was that is was something like a 15-20% sound improvement for separates - for about double the price.
Choosing between Cornwall IV, Trio15 or X4 Ultra @dweller , I haven't. It did help when I turned the power up but thought to myself why do that when the power is cut in half for Triode and then I just turn it up? I'm sure I'm missing something. I'm only about 19 mos into this journey (recently ...
Choosing between Cornwall IV, Trio15 or X4 Ultra Agree with Russ. I just bought a newesd set of Volti Rivals which are powered by my Primaluna 300 Evo integrated with KT-150s + Radiotechniques and I'm gobsmacked how good they are. I'm coming from Sapphire M3s which were and are wonderful audioph...
Testing for Dirty Electrical Power Also interested. I bought the same device and when I posted about it on Audiocircle I was informed that they are worthless but seems like an objective way to measure dirty power. My old house was a 19 but my new house w/ a dedicated line is around...
Volti Razz Loudspeakers Any new comments about the Razz vs. Cornwall IV or others?
Looking for audiophile friends in Tampa Hello people, I just saw this and thought I would post. I'm in Odessa.
Primaluna. Evo 400 - bass issues Just a quick post that I have an int Evo 300 w/ KT-150s and have plenty of bass. Seems just like the right amount acutally and is more recording dependent than anything else. I do always find the posts intriguing which say that they went to anoth...
New Dedicated Line - Almost No improvement Hi cdc, I discussed this some in this post: "Theaudioamp – good questions. I have done very little listening so far – mostly because of the wife-factor but also time – I haven’t had time to set up my cart yet so only have CDs. I have a Ruby K1 whi...
Best Stereo Upgrade Value I really tried my best to get components which were "balanced" with one too much better or worse than the other. This from price, reading a zillion posts and reviews. I’m not sure how much of a “value” it was but the one thing I got wrong was my...
New Dedicated Line - Almost No improvement RE: outlet burn-in. Interesting and I had no idea. As a newbie I think burn in is the most annoying thing about this hobby (wife issues aside). I'll just leave them in because ......although I have about 180 hours on my Sapphire M3s and about 90 h...
New Dedicated Line - Almost No improvement About 35 minutes on the outlets - thanks will check it out. Posted a few pics in virtual systems for those interested. Again, still very much setting up the room as you can see. Thanks.
New Dedicated Line - Almost No improvement Wow, great replies – and even more varying opinions than I thought there would be. My hobby (although it is fading a bit I must admit) is racing my car and when I first started I had lots of questions and would get a similar amount of different re...
New Dedicated Line - Almost No improvement Just read the last two posts before mine - thanks Jerry and skoc. It sounds like there may not be more to do. As mentioned above I may try a PSM 156 for the 45 day trial and see how that goes. Sinking a lot of $ into the new house though so this i...
New Dedicated Line - Almost No improvement Thanks All! My amp is a Primaluna Evo 300 integrated with tubes rolled. Power cord is a LessLoss entropic and also use that cord for my phonostage (ModWright 9.0x). 95% of my listening is vinyl. I also have a LessLoss speaker firewall(s). What I ... |
