Unbelievable
You kidding me.......Yamaha speakers!Listen to a pair of Salk speakers before you buy.  Bowers & Wilkins might also be a good choice or Paradigm.
Streaming from Bluesound Node2i
You certainly can.I purchased an external DAC with digital coax and lost the complete unfold of MQA.  I think people are crazy if they can't hear the difference when listening to MQA.  I listened to the Node 2i at the dealer and they added an exte...
Can anyone hear the difference when you add REL subwoofers when playing two channel
I believe I do.  I have two REL S2 SHO subs.  It sounds even and seamless.  This allows you to play them down in volume and to blend in.  The object is to never detect a subwoofer in a system.
Set-up with two subs and an integrated amp
It took me a year to make a decision on choosing a subwoofer.  I decided to go with a pair of REL S2 SHO's and it was definitely the right way to go.  Their high level connection allows them to act as an additional woffer on my towers.  Takes time...
Are the Stereophile setup CD’s any good?
Forgot to mention.  You talk about adjusting your speaker placements and subwoofers.  Why not hire someone to master set your speakers professionally and be done with it.  Master setting really works, but you need to find someone who knows what th...
Are the Stereophile setup CD’s any good?
Why would anyone play CD's when they can stream Tidal MQA?  Especially, when you can stream hi-res.  There has to be more noise generated from the CD player than when streaming.  However, I am not an expert like many of you are.
Looking for an integrated amp around 4000 to 5000.
I think you might be surprised by the sound the Parasound Halo integrated amp delivers for the money.  Bet if you did a blind test, you might take the Parasound.  Great frequency response curve.
Subwoofers - Front Firing or Down Firing - Which Sounds Best?
I like the design of the REL subwoofers.  Rythmik would also be another option.  However, no dealers carry them to listen to them.
Audio reviews: too many analogies, never simple, but most of all, never clear.
My nephew used to write for Audiophile Magazine.  His equipment was practically given to him after reviewing their gear.  I think in many cases we can accept their reviews with a grain of salt.

I would like to know how many in this group are dealers.  I think they should require all dealers to identify themselves so we can determine the bias.
My Demo results: I feel like I'm at a frustrating block in my speaker journey
I tried to like the Focal Aria line, but even the 948's lacked bass.  I think these are designed for classical and opera.  I also thought the B&W's were lacking in the bass.  Two REL subs would help.  However, I felt they were over priced.I ac...
External DAC connection for Bluesound Node 2i (after "Another streaming newbie" thread)
Trust your gut.  Listen to a Bluesound Node 2I with and without an external DAC.  Do a blind test and pick what your ears hear.  I purchased a Bluesound Node 2i and the dealer sold me an external DAC.  However, we did a blind test and after switch...
Another streaming newbie
I also suggest trying a Bluesound Node 2i.  It only costs $550 and it is a great place to start.  I talked to the manufactures rep and it appears they came up with a design that is a good as a unit costing three times as much.  I don't care what p...
Renaming The Forum
I meant to also mention, it would be nice for those who enter the discussions who are dealers.  Obviously, they are going to talk about the gear they sell and how great they are.
Renaming The Forum
I get tired about hearing how great their Magies are.  There are much better choices out there.
