@smodtactical  The Modded Altec Lansing 1570B mono blocks have 165 watts each. They run (2) 811A power triodes. The high voltage Peerless transformers are what makes them special. No one makes these anymore.
Why would a moderator remove a cable review?
@onhwy61  I will refer to him as Mr Grosts if it pleases you sir. I do know some Industry folks I am personal friends with, such as David Berning and Mark Schneider and I do call them by their first names. I don’t know Nelson Pass but I have refe...

@onhwy61  Just so you know I am an audio enthusiast with no affiliation or connection to the manufacturer. I am not paid. I have never met Bob Grost. I do like what I hear using his cables. I am sharing my experience with them. Isn’t that what th...

I did email Tammy but I think the thread came down when the price list went up. I’m not sure why they had to delete the entire thread. I did repost over on “What’s Best” forum.

@smodtactical  They are both Incredible sounding amps just different flavors. The tubes provide greater depth and size of sound stage. The tube sound is more dense and maybe I’m just listening to a beautiful distortion but I love it. My preferenc...
GREAT NEWS! The Coda Technology new #16 amplifier will arrive this week
I didn’t think I would part with it, but my new modded 1960’s Altec Lansing 1570B mono blocks are so damn good. I will end up selling  the Coda 16. I just don’t want to ship this 110 lb. Beast.
My quest for a pair of Tonian Labs speakers was finally realized Yesterday
I heard the Tonian speakers at The Show in Newport a few years back and I can say they were the most realistic sounding speakers I’ve ever heard. He was playing a drum track he recorded and if I closed my eyes I would have thought the drum kit was...

@jaymark  The #16 is not as big as as my old Plinius amp for example, but don’t let that fool you. Like your X250.5 it weighs 110 lbs.

Install A Dedicated AC Line at home
Don’t forget if you don’t get a permit or use a licensed electrician and you have a fire in your home you can forget your insurance company giving you a dime. They will use any excuse to not pay a claim.

@rlovendale  the #16 sounds better to me than both of those SS amps. I thought the Plinius was too warm. The AVA FET400, even though not class A was a decent sounding amp with excellent bass but not on the level of the Coda #16.

@decooney  60’s vintage Altec Lansing 1570B  built by John Tucker (Exempler Audio) they use (2)  811A tubes in each mono block and produce 165 watts per channel. These mods surpass Tom Tutay’s mods. Sounds like a high powered SET.
