Help recommend a good tube preamp I would suggest the Backert Labs Rhythm 1.3. Fully balanced and the best preamp I’ve owned to date. When you start tube rolling, get some adapters and use NOS 12SN7’s to replace the 12AU7’s. It’s very sensitive to tube rolling.
New! Cerious Technologies Lumniscate cables I can report that after many hours of playing time, even more transparency and refinement have appeared. I don't get cable deniers. They make a huge difference in sound. I forgot to mention that upon request, Bob made me an umbilical cable for my...
Aric Audio Custom 300b PSET Having owned an Aric Transcend and three different Decware amps over the years I can say you made the right choice. I think Aric’s use of better components makes it a step up. The Decware had what I can only describe as noisy transformers. The Ari...
Need your thoughts - LTA 40+ vs Pathos Inpol Integrated amp on 98db speakers. I agree with my fellow ZOTL owners. I owned the ZOTL40 since early on and have taken it in for upgrades. The + mods are a significant increase in sound quality for an already excellent amp.
New JansZen Nine-five model @mapman Yes, they were with the AGD amps and they sounded spectacular, not cheap but wow! I thought it was one of the best rooms I visited today. @pryso You would love them. They had great bass. $19500
Dedicated 20 Amp Line for Audio @agisthos You won't be disappointed in the LC-Y EVO Cable. It is directional so tell the electrician so he doesn't install it backwards. There are arrows on the jacket. It will need a little break-in time.
LTA microZOTL or Backert Labs Rhumba Extreme 1.3? I own the Micro ZOTL preamp and the Backert Rhythm 1.3. I do prefer the LTA Pre over the Rhumba but the Rhythm crushes them both. The LTA is very good, but if you've got the coin go for the Rhythm.
Why would a moderator remove a cable review? @jaymark , the pleasure was all mine. I only wished you had more time to hangout.
New! Cerious Technologies Lumniscate cables Has anyone else taken delivery yet? My cables, with burn-in time sound more refined than ever.
Dust Settled Consensus- is the Benchmark AHB2 an Audiophile Amplifier? I liked the AHB2 very much when I got it. It was very clear, clean and noiseless, but when the Coda 16 arrived it made the AHB2 sound thin, anemic and lacking weight. I now have tube mono blocks so maybe I like distortion.
New! Cerious Technologies Lumniscate cables @ozzy is correct, Bob’s daughter is the webmaster and pregnant. I suppose she’s moving slowly. Bob answered those questions in the other post that was removed. Agon has an itchy trigger finger.
GREAT NEWS! The Coda Technology new #16 amplifier will arrive this week @jaymark I look forward to meeting you. Lance
Review on Coda Technologies 16 Amplifier went live today @smodtactical The Modded Altec Lansing 1570B mono blocks have 165 watts each. They run (2) 811A power triodes. The high voltage Peerless transformers are what makes them special. No one makes these anymore.
Why would a moderator remove a cable review? @onhwy61 I will refer to him as Mr Grosts if it pleases you sir. I do know some Industry folks I am personal friends with, such as David Berning and Mark Schneider and I do call them by their first names. I don’t know Nelson Pass but I have refe...
New! Cerious Technologies Lumniscate cables @onhwy61 Just so you know I am an audio enthusiast with no affiliation or connection to the manufacturer. I am not paid. I have never met Bob Grost. I do like what I hear using his cables. I am sharing my experience with them. Isn’t that what th... |
