To bi-amp B&W 802n or not
@itzhak1969,Not all B&W speakers require lots of power. I’ve owned their 6, 7 and 8 series speakers over the years. You should do your research before generalizing a brand that makes a wide range of speakers. Big speakers usually performs bett...

Yup, that’s all one can expect from a self proclaimed F5 clown 😉
Sonos Connect directly into MC452?
@gtur, If I may suggest, try Bluesound Node 2. I have recently bought Vault 2 to replace my Connect. I was pleasantly surprised by its exceptional sound quality...much much better than Sonos Connect.
To bi-amp B&W 802n or not
@itzhak1969,I used 601 mono’s for Low Frequencies and stereo VT-80 for mid’s and high’s.
RCA Caps
I have had better results with Telos Gold RCA caps over Cardas. In A/B comparison, Telos caps further lowered the noise floor.  May be I should try RCA shortening caps next....Please note, I have taken great care of lowering noise floor and cleani...
Sonos Connect directly into MC452?
@willemj What so special about Benchmark DAC3 vs any other sub $2K DAC?
Please help me chose a tube preamp
I am with @sgunther, as good as Calypso is, it just doesn’t have the lush tubey sound. With Calypso, you get a very nice balanced and neutral sound, kind of best of both SS and Tube worlds. I end up trading Aesthetix Calypso for ARC LS28. In a hig...

@vwquest, Congratulations on your upgrade. While I don’t own 802N but I have some experience with bi-amping my 800D2’s.  As you know, 800D’s is a slightly bigger speaker and best driven with a higher output Amplifier. To further add to @rhljazz po...
Sonos Connect directly into MC452?
+1, mattmillerWith the exception of LAWNMOWER comment 😉The Connect needs a good DAC to fully justify the pairing with MC452. To my ears, the sound from its analog output is lean towards dull and flat.
What should my next upgrade be? Your best experience
@willemj Did you ever own a SONOS Connect? Any real-time experiences.....

Who died and left you in-charge of audiophile society 😉
Is using streaming services worthy of an audiophile?
“you don’t have to be an "audiophile" 100% of the time“@dhpeck, I get what you saying, more than often I enjoy listening to Tidal through my SONOS speakers placed throughout the house instead of heading to my dedicated audio room.
What should my next upgrade be? Your best experience
@264win, If you prefer to stick with Marantz, NA-11s1 would be a great choice. Since you already enjoy Marantz house sound, you will get impeccable synergy by pairing 11s1 with your PM-11s3. I believe you can order one from a online retailer with ...
Solid state DAC under 12K retail preferably with ethernet
“It's that last Ethernet interface before the D/A that uses the master clock that matters”@audioengr, Great point. It’s imperative to pick a player that has decent Ethernet interface to tackle jitter. My N10 does a fabulous job of minimizing jitte...
