For Those Who Are Unaware of The Cable Company
@stuartk  Thank you! I really appreciate that. And from everything you’ve shared here and your interim system —your passion for music and your thoughtful approach to the hobby really come through. It’s clear you’re navigating some real constraint...
For Those Who Are Unaware of The Cable Company
“I wasn’t making any assumptions or assertions” @stuartk  Thanks for the clarification. And I was merely reiterating my experience with a possible outcome of all out silver loom for our readers. Exploring new gear is the fun part of this hobby. I...
For Those Who Are Unaware of The Cable Company
“In fact, if I had the $, I’d try an entire loom of Darwin” @stuartk  I fully acknowledge that everyone hears differently and no two systems are the same. After experimenting with an all-silver loom in my own setup, I’ve found that silver cables ...
DIN Phono Cable
@josepad  The angled DIN or JIS connector allows tonearm cable to flow without any strain when there is not enough clearance underneath the TT base. If you have any enough clearance then a straight DIN or JIS connector would suffice.
DIN Phono Cable
+1, @grinnell  I’ve used Audio Envy Phono Deluxe - 5 pin angled DIN connector with SME V tonearm. Great value for the money!  https://audioenvy.com/product/home-car-pro-interconnects/phono-deluxe-matched-pair/

My interactions weren’t positive either. Two months of waiting for a cable with no delivery or communication is just bad business.
Where Next? (Streaming Rig)
@gkelly  Thanks for sharing. I admire Innuos zeal for continuous improvement and full library integration beyond the two very popular streaming services like Qobuz and TIDAL. The two elusive streaming platforms like HighResAudio and Idagio are ce...
Get yer Alice at Axpona
What is the value of that R2R model WITHOUT the Alice Alice treatment? @tablejockey  The question should be about overall value proposition of a R2R desk in today’s world. Even if one can afford to buy a R2R deck used or new, the rarity of ava...
Get yer Alice at Axpona
“I didn’t know Alice was still relavant?” Neither are $28K R2R decks 😊
The Sacred Ritual of Vinyl: A Return to Mindful Listening
“It’s hard to get any enjoyment these days for under $40” @mswale  Exactly! Vinyl may be expensive, but for those who cherish the format, the value goes far beyond the price tag. When you consider the tactile experience, the sonic reward, and the...
Im going to regret my cable question
My recommendation would be to try OCC cables from Audio Sensibility. Their Testament Single wire speaker cable where I would start to see if you hear any improvements.  As far as improvements you seek, a cable swap or any component change—can’t b...
The Sacred Ritual of Vinyl: A Return to Mindful Listening
@unreceivedogma  You’ve captured the essence of vinyl listening as more than just a format preference but as a mindful, almost spiritual practice. No doubt, Vinyl playback elevates the experience beyond nostalgia, framing it as a deliberate act o...
Mike's Barn.
@mitch2  I agree, having multiple DACs allows for comparing different voicing and synergy with various components, the same logic applies to turntables or any other component in an audio system.  But hear me out…having own couple of turntables, ...
Mike's Barn.
“If anyone can explain why one might intentionally have two turntables, I’m curious.” @hilde45 There are actually several and sometimes indulgent reasons why someone might intentionally have two turntables, - Mono vs Stereo playback - One turn...
