No Dustcover for Turntable, What do You do?
Disconnect the din plug to the arm and remove for an easy dusting, and this would only have to be done maybe 3 times a year. I like my Scout too much the way it is than to put a plastic box over it. I have been that route with a TNT but that is a ...
krell KSA-250 or KSA-200s
The 250 will have better bass slam, it was the first Krell I ever bought. Then I sold it for a 200S and I wondered where my bass went. Krell told me the size of the transformer would be closer to the 300S, so I bought that and loved it ever since....
Krell HTS1 and KAV-1500 Operating Questions
I have heard others say the DB-25 connector is not sonically as good as individual interconnects. A dedicated circuit is always sonically better than a standard 15 amp circuit with other items plugged in line. Do as much as you can to eliminate pr...
New B&W Nautilus Speakers??

What Instrument do You Play?
Drums, cymbals, sounds, gongs.....I really focus in on the percusion instruments. I can tell alot about a system with familiar recordings and knowing the drums sonic signature. I only wish to be the one on those recordings while listening to them ...
Best speaker in the $4-6k range.
What cables are you using? I have heard to stay away from silver cables with Krell. Are there any room acoustics in place? Even the best system in an untreated room equals mediocre at best. I have N802 with Krell and they are hardly bright at all,...
B&W 801 III w/northcreek crossovers or nautilus801
Saxo is correct, I owned the 801 III w/NC's. I sold them for the N802 and was never happier and never looked back. The Nautilus is just a whole new rehlm of realism than B&W ever achieved before. I think the N802 is a nice move from the 801 Ma...
Krell HTS1...Upgradable or NOT?
Krell is pretty good for most repairs, but I have also had problems with their shipping department. I had a KPS-20i improperly packed and I had to ream them whil I was on vacation I was so upset. The upgrades are another story, they make no real m...
Krell HTS1...Upgradable or NOT?
I had a HTS1 and I would say NOT. They are great selling you on the upgradeability, but I have only had one smooth upgrade done by them. I got tired of waiting and just bought an AVS which I really love for everything.
Purist Audio new cables
I use the Proteous with great results and know that the fluid will evaporate or disapear with time. Who is to say the Ferox will not leak out or disappear and you wouldn't even know is my biggest concern. I thought it was just their video cables w...
Best brand of cable for B&W N802?
I have now compared my Purist Proteous with Transparent Super & Ultra XL, & NBS Master III. Durring my comparrison I found myself liking them all for their independant characteristics but the Proteous was like a worn glove. I kept liking m...
Anyone ever have claims for damage with UPS?
That's right and if it is not 2" or more of foam, they will not pay. They will gladly insure them, but even if it is factory packaging, they can refuse paying. They destroyed 3 pairs of speakers I had sent using them and now use Fed Ex with great ...
What Speaker are Great for Rock and Roll $5K-20K
B&W 801 Matrix is what I used before my N802's. Depending on price but for under $3K used or a pair of the Nautilus for double that with the right cables, you would be rocking. I had the optional North Creek crossovers with my Matrix which alm...
B&W Nautilus 802
I have the Krell AVS which you can find them for a good deal usually. I use it with a Krell 300S and KAV1500 for 7 channel connected all balanced interconnects. It all sounds totally scary-real IMHO with the N802's, and they will reveal all upstre...
B&W Nautilus 802 Owner
13x24 and loving every minute of it. I have ASC 8 wall panels on each side and 2 traps in front and some help from Acousticsfirst.com on the ceiling. I couldn't be happier and have heard so many sound worse. You need to just block first reflection...
