Breathtaking SACD of popular classical music
@kr4 Wow, I appreciate the details in your response. I need to start somewhere (with my first classical SACD). So if you have to pick (with emphasis on recording qualityh and use of SACD technicology), which would you order?  I have no idea.  I...
Breathtaking SACD of popular classical music
I took a shot at it emphasizing recording/sound quality. For the smaller works and some others, there are too many options and I would not recommend buying a whole disc for one small work. Beethoven – Symphony No.5 in C minor Honeck/Pittsburgh (R...

Best digital format (non streaming)
Likely, there are some (crazy expansive) specialty outlets that let you buy and download high res files?  Yes, there are but prices and repertoire vary.  I am generally familiar with classical offerings. And only storage media will be compute...
Don’t buy used McCormack DNA 1990s amps
Because their input board is at the end of its useful life, and when it fails your amp is dead and not repairable by anyone — not even SMcAudio.  Can you tell us, in specific, what particular part or component is the source of this?
Best digital format (non streaming)
Sure there are higher resolution formats available but most recordings come only in 1 or 2.  If you want that music, the format is not in question.  Besides, you have to convince yourself that you can hear any difference with the higher resolution...

For Room Correction DSP/Software- How often do you use it?
I use it all the time. OTOH, I recalibrate it only when something in the system or room is changed or replaced.
Snake oil of the year?
Eh.  I was unimpressed with it.  (Scroll down a bit to AQVox.)
Install A Dedicated AC Line at home
I hired my regular local licensed electrician. I showed him the JPS outlets and cable and he smirked but did the work anyway. At the end, he told me that the JPS cable was the easiest cable he has ever worked with and asked me what it cost. When I...

Topping Pre90 Switching op amps?
It is I and I really wonder about adding a "tube buffer" to the Topping.  Seems counterproductive.
LP stores in Portland, Maine
Last time I was there, about 7 years ago, most of the local shops that I had visited earlier had disappeared.  I recall only one, at that time and there was little classical. ☹

Unusual Old School Way of Wiring Speakers
It generally requires having a special added driver in each speaker.  It was developed by Bob Carver and marketed, to this day, by Polk.  See https://www.polkaudio.com/en-us/product/floor-standing-towers/l800/ .
