Update on the install. I installed 8 of the 2" deep wood trays. 4 on each side behind speakers.  4 more, 2 on each side of the back wall.  There is a decent amount of reduction in  treble glare that I was experiencing with some music. Overall it h...

Haven't determined size yet. I have bass traps and absorption on the back wall and sides. Dedicated music room. Can't do just the center as I have a TV hanging dut covered when not in use.

My room is 14x22x8. Speakers are about 19in off the front wall 1.5 from side wall.  I sit 13 feet from the speakers. They are not toed in. i have a fantastic sound stage with 90% of sound coming from the center. It's just on some music the treble ...

And 2inches deep. Just to break up the hi frequency.

@rixthetrick  from what I understand you don't need them for the back wall. That should be for absorption.  Front wall on the ceiling and at points of first reflection. What you are doing is impressive. I don't have the tools to build my own. With...

I guess I should have put a question mark on the sentence. I was just asking if anyone had any experience with  diffusers. They say 4-6 inch depth catches the bass,3-4 for mids. Nothing really about 2 inches doing anything of value. I'll just go t...
Another Subwoofer Cable Topic
From what I understand is if you have a sub out on your AV amp or pre amp you need only one run going to the life on sub. If you run separate  pre and amplifier then two runs are required  from left and right.  As far as splitting one run to two I...
Will a new Dac improve the sound?
For 1100.00 you can't go wrong with Cambridge audio Cxnv2. The Wolfson dac chips sound very good and it works flawless as a streamer. I have one in my den running a Melody h6550 integrated.  The roon also works perfect. Streamer, dac, preamp, roon. ...
If you’ve heard an iFi Zen stream, anything better under $1k?
I have a Cambridge cxnv2.  Works great never crashed. Roon works flawless. Upgraded it with the Modwright tube stage. Really sounds good now. The stock Wolson dac was very good also. Looked into the Magnum Mano, but it's not plug and play. Needs t...
New or used speakers
@noromance I like Ty's speakers. They have upgraded Seas millennium tweeters and upgraded crossover on the bass also. My wife says to get a second set for this room as I put my Kef R11 in the den. Forgot to mention I also have 2 SVS SB3000 subs. @...
New or used speakers
I should add I listen to primarily rock and prog rock.  Not heavy like the laid back and soft tunes. About 70-80db on loudness.
Any Modwright CXN v2 owners who want to share their experience?
Compared to the Audio GD the Soundstage is much smaller and bass is not as pronounced on the CA truth mod. It sounds very good  but not as good. Still money well spent. It sounds great in my den. When I listen to my Audio GD  dac it's almost like ...
Any Modwright CXN v2 owners who want to share their experience?
Have been using for about a week now. Sound quality is very clear, voice instrument separation and decay is very good. It's a definite improvement over the stock dac which was great to begin with. I'm using this with a Melody h6550 integrated and ...
