If you had to start all over again in this day and age
If I had to do it all over again. SInce 1976 I have bought at least 140 separate audio components.  And since I am finding I am buying a lot of components that I used to have in the mid 1980s, I would have left things alone for the last 35-40 year...
If you had to start all over again in this day and age
I have had well over 100 components through the years. Mostly I am circling back to the 1980s.  So, if I had to do it all over again, I would probably stuck with what I had in the 1980s and left it alone. Except I would have added some digital sou...
How many people here generally buy used?
Used 90% of the time.
Why do you think Bi-Wiring improves the sound ?
If it is easy, do it. What can it hurt to find out and know for yourself? If it were a PITA to do, then I would have the same concerns your OP had. But since it would be an easy experiment, do it and report back. You know that further contribution...

So it is called HD-CD 1. Does it decode HDCDs?
Should I be able to hear a 4Hz difference in my speakers?
There is only 1/4 of an octave difference between 32hz and 28hz.
More Power or use subwoofer to boost bass for music
In my opinion a subwoofer's main purpose is not LOUDER bass, but deeper bass, higher quality bass. Few "full range" speakers are truly full range.

Thank you.

I have one driving my Klipsch Forte II speakers.  They are 8-ohm and have 99dB sensitivity.  It runs cool.  I WONDER if they could handle the 4 ohm JBL L-100 Classics?
