FM vs. HD RADIO.... anybody think FM is better?
I have never been impressed with the way HD radio sounds.  I would rather have a strong FM signal any day.  I am curious what other people have to say.

vpi,Nice looking tables!  Did you ever think about putting the ET2 on the Garrard?  I don't think I've ever seen that combination before.  I have an ET2.5 and a Garrard 301.  I might have to try it.
Linear tracking turntables, whatever happened?
I really don't get it.  Air bearing arms are not hard to set up at all (as long as you have a good design that is fully adjustable) and running them is not complicated, either.  There is virtually no maintenance required after the initial setup wi...
Suggestion To The Moderators To Rid This Site Of Spam
This is seriously one of the worst ideas I have ever heard.
Reasonable RCA Connectors?
Also, Sonic Craft has closeout pricing of $15 on a set of 4 Neotech RCAs that actually sound quite goodI assume you're talking about the Neotech DG-302?  Do you know metal and plating they are made from?  There is no information anywhere about th...
New $24,000 inter-connect
That's the thing, it's all relative I originally went from a Radio Shack interconnect to a $100 Duelund. That's a multiplier of about 50x. Is it better than the Radio Shack cable?

Hi Chris,They "wear out" due to age.  They get hard and crack.  Putting the pump in another room is the easiest way to mitigate vibrations.  An even better way is to use a large air compressor to get rid or the air pulses, but that's a different m...

WISA Audio Pump for ET2 tonearm
I don't know if the green ones in the pic above are original or not because mine were also clear (slightly yellowed from age).  I went to my Sears Hardware and tried 3/4 x 9/16 x 3/32 o-rings, but the weight of the pump caused it to contact the ...
WISA Audio Pump for ET2 tonearm
If the OP's pump is like mine, the rubber pieces are o-rings.  It's just a matter of finding the right size.  I have a pretty good local o-rings source, so I will see what I can find.  This is what the bottom of mine looks like.http://usr.audioasy...
WISA Audio Pump for ET2 tonearm
Wow, this is pretty incredible. I had one of those break mid LP just three weeks ago! The racket of the pump housing vibrating against the mounting plate was something! After I determined the source of the racket, another one broke. I turned it up...
Best DIY power cable. Why not make?
You are just adding one more, unnecessary, connection point to the chain. Spades can come loose or break. I completely agree with you here.  It is one more connection and one more type of material for the signal/electricity to travel through.The...
Makeup brushes for Christmas
I use quality car detailing microfiber cloths for my gear (Autogeek has nice ones).  They actually trap the dust, while a brush simply kicks it up into the air only to fall back down on your gear.  The same can be said for compressed air.  This is...
