Cutting below 80 HZ on my mains, so subwoofers handle deep bass? In-line passive filters before the amplifier.Kenny
Cutting below 80 HZ on my mains, so subwoofers handle deep bass? PTS,I am still wiring my GR Research/Rythmik DIY sub project, so can't answer the question about the resulting sound. I am using an in-line filter to roll off my amps at about 48Hz just to my main speakers. My main speakers also go down to 30Hz. T...
WHAT'S UP WITH MARANTZ? Long ago, I had an all black (no choice) system, but upgrading forced me into other colors (no choice). I was then cool with that, and started to enjoy mixing it up, because in a way it showcased the individual components. As I continued to upgrad...
Worst Rock Band Ever !!!! You all are wrong! I was in a rock band and trust me it was the worst!!! We couldn't even come up with a name, and used a Wollensak reel-to-reel from school for recordings. Awful.Kenny
Makeup brushes for Christmas I use very fine and soft artist brushes. Great for getting around the small spaces and crevices of my tuner and tube amps.Kenny
Lemon HiFi-Tuning Fuse? Solved - The "T" designation is correct for slow blow from HiFi Tuning, and confirmed when I found my sales receipt. The "T" actually means timed, or the technical meaning for slow blow. I contacted Boulder Amplifiers who told me the fuse should b...
Lemon HiFi-Tuning Fuse? Thanks, guys. Well, looks like the two fuses are not the same, but still weird. The HiFi Tuning fuse is a slow blow, because I found the T designation. This is the fuse that blew. The original fuse has an F stamped on it, so it's a fast blow.Kenny
Lemon HiFi-Tuning Fuse? I read a post saying that, I should be fine with the HiFi Tuning 500v rating over the original 250v rating because the current rating is the same. The fuse is a fast blow version, so the same as the original.Kenny
Lemon HiFi-Tuning Fuse? Thanks, everyone.I'm now wondering if it may have been caused by static? We have low humidity here in Colorado, and frequently I get a spark when grabbing the volume control of the line stage. More so, than my other components. I'll try grounding ...
Lemon HiFi-Tuning Fuse? Thanks, I was just making sure that I wasn't missing something, since I do use the fuses in some of my other gear without encountering this problem.Kenny
Doh, left system off all night I don't leave my system on all the time, because I don't need to. However, it takes about 1.5 hours to come to life, and that's play time. There is an increase to the sound quality up to about 3 hours, but after that It's done.I can also just turn...
Just wondering... IMO - Think, comparable. Your amp(s) and speakers are the foundation of your system. I would get those to the level that you want, and that level should be to the point where you can easily hear differences to whatever else is plugged in. Otherwis...
Analog output for hifi Stan,Can you use the analog outs from your cable box, if any?Kenny
What's been playing on your turntable and what turntable is it ? I find that reissues are hit or miss, but "The Alternate Blues" by Analogue Productions Revival Series is killer on my TW-Acustic Raven One.Kenny
