| Looking for a crystal clear / dynamic tube preamp I second the Herron VTSP1A/166. I use one myself and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's neutral, dynamic, transparent, and musical. Also it's dead, dead quiet, a rarity for a tubed preamp. | |

| Tube amp, size and power info........ Chad,Something to consider is with 99db efficiency and a powered woofer you could really get away with a fantastic low powered SET amp. I don't have a specific recommendation in your price range but I'm sure others will. Good luck! |
