Review Audioquest Hurricane (part 1) Lest we all forget the ironically monikered clearthink has added an extra dimension to Tru-Fi (whatever the heck that is) something called the ICSS factor. Whatever this factor may be (assuming ICSS actually stands for something) I am sure it ad...
Review Audioquest Hurricane (part 1) I am so confused how do you "use Audioquest cables" differently? One end goes into the wall socket the other end into your component. Is there some other way to "use" a power cable?
If you like Schubert... Does anyone know if this is something I can find on Tidal? Would love to check it out but searching for classical is bewildering to a novice like me. Thanks!
No love for Verity? I have never heard one and guessing they are rather hard to find and audition. That being said the reviews look great and I would love to hear a pair of their speakers some day.
Recommendations for music network player Auralic Aries and Aries Mini, I use a Mini and love it.
Store auditioning and then buying on-line from others. How do you feel about it ? I think if this thread has shown us anything really good dealers are rare and should be prized. If you find one patronize that dealer and treat him fairly and you will be repaid in good advice and likely less money wasted.
What are the best loudspeakers under $4000 to re-create lifelike piano Pretty shocked no one has picked up these yet;https://www.audiogon.com/listings/monitors-loudspeakers-2017-12-16-speakersAudio Note speakers reproduce piano amazingly well, are easy to drive, and sound great overall. The AN-E/Spe in that ad for $3...
Tube preamp recommendations $3K-$7K range https://www.audiogon.com/listings/tube-teflon-caps-and-extra-tube-set-2017-11-18-preamplifiersThis looks like a pretty sweet deal at the bottom of your price range. No affiliation with the seller. Good luck!
Is Tidal in trouble? I wouldn't worry about it, streaming would appear to be a very capital intensive business. The fact that they will achieve profitability in 2018, if true, is very encouraging.
Store auditioning and then buying on-line from others. How do you feel about it ? A truly good dealer can be an invaluable thing and sometimes you pay more money up front to spend less later. A good dealer realizes that the true audio enthusiast that comes in may not buy something that day, or may not be able to afford what he ...
Bluesound Node 2 vs. Auralic Aries Mini I got basically the same reply as Ghosthouse from Xuanqian......... "We no longer sell ARIES MINI in some countries, but the rest areas are fine. This product is still in our line and we still deliver hundreds of them each month."
Viva Solistino Amp @maxboy00 Congrats on your new amp and best of luck with the brutal waiting period! I would imagine a Viva amp in addition to sounding good would have very high WAF as they say. Cheers!
Bluesound Node 2 vs. Auralic Aries Mini I think part of the confusion here is in the G2 series there will be an Aries G2 but not a Mini G2. The original Mini will still be produced and supported as far as I know based on what I've heard.
My rant; we don't know what we don't know It cracks me up that a guy with 3 posts declared this "by far the best post in Audiogons history" but perhaps it was. Sadly I tried reading it and gave up due to the lack of paragraphs. If your going to rant at least make it readable.
Cassette Tape If it's sealed in the package old stock doesn't matter. And frankly I'm shocked someone is still making cassette tapes! I will say those don't look well made to me, maybe its just the clear plastic but they look cheaply made. |
