Gallo Reference 3.0/3.1 vs. Usher CP6311 Thanks for the responses. There is a local dealer in San Jose, but they only had the little micros in stock. There is another dealer in SF that I will check with.

Floorstander suggestions to replace Usher S-520s.. Have you considered adding a powered sub to your existing system rather than getting new speakers? A good sub can be musical if set up properly and provide more low end than a pair of floorstanders in your price range. I preferred the mids and hig...
Help a Newbie. Considering Usher Be 718's Goatwuss is right. See if you can bring them home so you can compare them to the Sierras and see how they sound in your room. If the Ushers sound better with your current equipment, then they can only get better as you upgrade your other component...
Totem Mani 2 Signatures vs. Usher BE-718 Audiofeil - Your hidden agenda is very obvious. Simply do a search for "Usher" on this forum, and your name comes up every time with something negative to say. Please don't email me again with your opinions when they can be posted here for everyone...
Totem Mani 2 Signatures vs. Usher BE-718 I can understand if someone doesn't like the sound of specific speaker, but to say that Usher is low value is laughable. The drivers measure as well as drivers costing 3 or 4x as much. The build quality is well above similarly priced products. The...
NAD C272 or Onkyo A-9555 or what? Please Help I don't think the NAD C272/325bee combo will make things sound better. It will more than likely sound the same or very similar with more power. I'd recommend ordering the Onkyo A-9555 and trying it out. Most vendors have a return policy if you don...
Inexpensive integrated for Usher S-520 I'd love to audition the Decco, but it's out of my price range right now. I picked up a used Panasonic XR55 to use for now. The xr55 just might be all I need since this is a small bedroom system and I have limited speaker placement options that ar...
Onkyo sr805 to use as amp and pre-amp together? The Onkyo 805/875/905 are capable of 4 ohm speakers according to the manual. The JM Labs should not be a problem at all for the 805, but a good external power amp would bring the most out of them.
AT&T U Verse any good? I just made the switch from Directv to Uverse. Here are my observations.directv: better hd picture, more hd channels, easier to navigate (maybe because I was used to it), better hardware.Uverse: Good HD picture, but not as good as directv. SD pict...
Inexpensive integrated for Usher S-520 I was looking at the little dot, but the tube in the preamp concerns me. One of the things I like about the tripath amps is they are very efficient, and if I left them on all night, they wouldn't draw much power or produce much heat. Would a tube ...
Usher Be 718 - matching center and surrounds How about an Usher S-525 or X-616 to tide you over until they release the matching BE center? I'm using an S-525 center with CP-6311 for fronts, and they seem to match just fine for HT after an Audyssey calibration. I don't have room for the X-616... |
