New Rega DAC I believe 48k is the limit on an ATV.
PS Audio DL3 signal input querstion The PS Audio DLIII will accept up to 192k over coax and optical and up to 48k with usb. Everything is then upsampled to 96k or 192k.
PS Audio DLIII v Peachtree Nova DAC It's difficult to answer this since it is very system dependent. I've owned the Decco and Nova and currently own the PS Audio DLIII. For an all in one solution, I really liked the Decco and the Nova. I thought the Nova was a little more polished o...
HRT Music Streamer+ II Roggae,I'm assuming you did the required modifications to the SB Touch so the usb can be used as an output? Otherwise, it definitely won't work. Check the slim devices forum and search for John Swenson if you need more info. I'm not sure if they a...
Dac with volume control and HT bypass Bel Canto Dac 2.5?
Which one is better, streamer pro or DL III? The PS Audio DLIII is a very good dac. Especially considering you can buy a used one for around $500 and a new one for not much more. It is a very solid piece of equipment with a very low noise floor and an excellent output stage. No opamps. In my...
Wyred 4 Sound.....Anyone????? I've been running the ST-500 stereo amp with STP preamp for a couple of years now and have had no desire to upgrade. Currently my speakers are Harbeth SHL5, and even though 250 watts per channel may be considered overkill, it sounds great with the...
wyred4sound amps Yerude1, I guess you really don't like Wyred 4 Sound. I'm very surprised to see that you purchased a Wyred 4 Sound amp after you already bought their DAC 2 and said it was no better than your "entry level" cd player. When can I expect a negative r...
Harbeth SHL5 I have the SHL5 in my room now. With my limited time with them I can say that the gallo and harbeth are very different from one another. Both sound wonderful, but too soon to tell which one will work better for me in my room. Wish I could keep bot...
Squeezebox Touch or Sonos ZonePlayer The touch is reliable, sounds good without a dac, sounds better with a good dac, plays 24/96 files without downsampling and is quite a bit less expensive compared to Sonos. No brainer if you ask me.
Wyred DACS I hear what you're saying Paul, but if you are referring to the 6moons review, it hasn't come out yet. They have a preview that mentions the features, but a full review has not been published yet. I'm looking forward to reading it.
Thoughts on Usher S-520's...upgrade? It sounds like you really want to try a new speaker which is understandable. There are much better speakers out there, but the S-520 is very good at it's price. Be careful of getting too much speaker for your small room. You may get too much low e...
Thoughts on Usher S-520's...upgrade? The S-520 is a fantastic little speaker that works really well in a small room like your office. I don't think the speakers are holding your system back. You mentioned that your office is 8x12 and I'm assuming that the speakers are sitting on your...
original decco from peachtree? I've owned both the decco and Nova at different times. The Nova has more inputs and can accept up to 24/96 material. I didn't notice much difference in the amps in each unit despite the power ratings. The Nova was more more versatile with the extra...
original decco from peachtree? The original Decco has a Scott Nixon designed NOS DAC which is different from the Nova, new Decco and iDecco which has the ESS Sabre 9006 which can accept up to 24/96 through SPDIF inputs. |
