EQ before Preamp?
Didn't mean to come close to causing World War 3 with my post....
Will this work, and at what sonic cost?

EQ before Preamp?
Umm, Eldartford used to design electronics for nuclear submarines or something like that - he knows his stuff. Also, I would like to get back on topic here. The Components again are as follows: Linn Kremlin Tuner, Jungson JA1 Preamp, Behringer 2496...

The Ten Rules of high-end audio
Those ten rules are good ones, but by the time this thread runs its course, someone will disagree with all of them. ;)
Does anyone have Magnum XM tuners?
I have the XRT-12 with a Benchmark DAC1 - the Benchmark improves the sound. But I would love the Magnum - but at $2.5K, it's out of the question....
b LED ing red for your Redbook CDs?
I'm the same way, except for me it's Blue LED's. You can get brighter red LED's and swap them out directly (probably have to solder, though). As an example, this computer I am using now - I swapped the HD light from dim red to bright blue.
