advice? Value of Gold Aero 7308s?? Yeah, right? I remember those days when RAM and Gold Aero were all the rage. I think Gold Aero has been out of business for over a decade now. It's funny how fickle this hobby can be. RAM is still in business, selling tubes and amps. They still te...
advice? Value of Gold Aero 7308s?? I don't believe that they have a lot of value on the used market. Gold Aero and RAM sold a lot of tubes at premium prices in the 80's and 90's, but they were all just hand selected Chinese and Russian made current stock tubes. They went out of bus...
please help: micro seiki of VPI It's a win/win situation for you, you get a whole month to make a decision. If you like the Micro Seiki, as it seems that you do, keep it and sell the VPI. If you regret your decision a year from now, you will have no problem finding another VPI S...
When a Reviewer "likes" something +1 to what Rrog said, it means nothing to me. I take anything any salesman says with a grain of salt. Sales, that is their job to convince you to buy their product. Don't be fooled into thinking that the glossy rags have your best interest in mind...

Lottery Winner would buy what kind of Stereo Gear Rleff, That would be my only home, probably right on the beach in SoCal or Hawaii. I wouldn't bother owning another home, just travelling the globe. ;)
Lottery Winner would buy what kind of Stereo Gear You meant to say systems, didn't you Rleff? I would set up at least 3 systems, Horns with SET, Ribbons/Planars with Solid State, and Dynamic with Tubes. Certainly each would have it's own custom designed room.
Amp suggestions for $1000 +1 on Mofimadness' Forte and McCormack recos. However, if it were me, I'd be tempted to play with some tube sound, those DeCapo's are a pretty easy load. Look for a used pair of Quicksilver Mini-Mite or Mid Mono amps.
Phono interconnect under $500 used If you can find one, it sounds like you are looking for a XLO Signature 3 S2-3 phono cable. Be careful though, there are a lot of fakes out there on the market.
My system has a narraw sounstage, lacks dynamics. B Fella, don't forget to remind the audience to tip their waitress' and that you'll be here all week. ;)
Just for something different..... I like the speakers that I currently own, but I wouldn't say that I love them. I have settled down due to financial restrictions, but my Soliloquy 6.3i are definitely good bang for the buck.
My system has a narraw sounstage, lacks dynamics. Many have sworn that drinking sonic tonic to be more effective. ;)
Need vacuum rubber seal for my micro seiki platter If you can measure it, you can propably find a replacement in the Grainger Catalog
