actually some of those guys are engineers. and if you buy the cable used, you can sell for very little loss after a few years. is the percentage markup greater the more expensive the cable? I know nothing of the business model. I never worry about...

I think that is why there are such good deals from direct sale cable manufacturers. I assumed every one knew the cable markup, like movie popcorn and coke, on a way greater scale.

I like Sonos Connect.  Great user interface. About $350 new with built in DAC. At a later date, if you like, there are various upgrades, such as a better DAC.  
Why do so many sellers not show the back of components...???
You will know if owned by a smoker as soon as you break the tape on the box. But sometimes the smell goes away in a few years

also important to isolate from airborne vibration. it seems many products that keep out floor vibrations, keep in airborne vibrations...

I agree, that's why I think if the new owner is not particularly interested in vintage electronics, it might be best to make an easy quick $150 and not deal with all the issues of repair, refurb, sale, shipping...if the new owner likes vintage gea...

and cost way more than $200 to have the work done, not to mention whatever repair it needs...My Yamaha CA-810 cost $350 for a partial refurb 10 years ago...again, I love the SA-9100 but if the owner is simply looking to turn a profit...

the ad said caps and transistors replaced..I have no way to know...agree it's a great piece, I have one...to fix up to use and enjoy is great, but as a money maker not so sure the time and effort worth the small potential return.  I am well aware ...
