Tannoy XT 8F .  Dynaudio Excite X34 .  though not sure about the Tanpura 
DAC break-in...
but if break-in occurs while it is on, even if not playing a CD, that changes your whole time frame...

after my Aesthetix Romulus CDP was unplugged for 6 months, I called Aesthetix and was told one month on standby would bring it back to full performance, plus playing CD's of course...I would call the manufacturer and ask...can't think of a reason ...

though I do agree with Pass Labs advice that cables should cost less than the amplifier...

the good news is it's free/cheap and easy to decide for yourself. some designers believe in cables, some don't, some don't say...just need to separate opinion from fact, as the line often gets blurred here... 
Moving on from Parasound A21 (maybe?)
the X250.8 is very much better than the A21, and in N Mich , just lower your thermostat...

agree with the Yamaha recommendations...if you don't need the DAC the previous Yamaha A-s500 is quite good, and under your budget...
